“I’m okay. I’m just—really stressed out right now. Last time this happened, we thought he was dead, and he wasn’t, and I just—really really don’t want this to be some kind of sick trap. I just...don’t think I can handle that right now.”
“Then I’ll do exactly what I did last time. I’ll keep you safe, make sure you’re taken care of, and cheer you up when I can. And if anything tries to hurt you...we’ll just beat it up like we always do!”
Michael gently undid Dagon’s ponytail. “You should really get some sleep, Dee.”
Her hair fell out awkwardly, and some parts stuck up. As he smoothed it down, she smiled.
“...what did I do right for someone as wonderful as you to come into my existence?”
Michael’s face turned a hue similar to the roses in the garden. Dagon burst out laughing and snorting. “Stop being so adorable!” She exclaimed.
Everyone else is asleep in preparation for the big day tomorrow.
