There’s a couple scenes like that, honestly! Here’s my favorite of them (Warning for Fic/Manga Spoilers):
“D- do you know the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle?” Shouto laughs, weakly, shakily. Damn the kid is bleeding fast, and Hawks knows that head wounds are supposed to bleed a lot, but-
This is more than he'd thought.
But the kid had asked him a question. “No, I don't know it.”
“'s okay. I just mentioned it 'cause it reminded me of you.” He hums, fingers flailing, pressing bruises into Hawks's forearm that he'll find later and have another small breakdown about. “'s the one that goes, you can't know - augh - two things about a, a particle at the same time. The speed, or the position. Those two.”
Hawks needs to keep the kid talking. “How did it remind you of me?”
“'cause you're - Hawks!” Shouto laughs again, weaker than before. “Like me. We're the same. Either you're workin' for the Commission or I am, or either you're doin' not-Hero things or I am. Never at the same time.”
“Not like Schrodinger's Cat then,” Hawks says, which he only remembers because it had a) included a cat and b) been one of the first truly Shouto-things that Shouto had shared with him. Or, well. That nighttime sky picture had been the first-first thing, and damn it, Hawks needs to concentrate right-fucking-now, and not-
Not distract himself from his kid bleeding out in his own arms because he's a failure of a Hero.

“No,” Fuyumi snarls. “You gave up your older sibling rights when you helped villains kidnap Shouto. I'm the older sister now, it's me, and you're grounded.”
Dabi sputters. “I'm an adult! You can't ground me!”
“I'm an elementary school teacher. Watch me.”
