LOVE THE REAPER MASK AND CLAWS!!! I WANT THEM SO BAD
I think the claws are my favorite, even though they make my husband allllmost useless when he wears them. Definitely not practical by any means, but that means lots of opportunities where Reaper needs help and he’ll just look at me like: OnO.
Hello, I had a question about your reaper costume you made? How much would it cost to commission one from you if you happen to be commissioning? If not, would you be willing to sell me a pattern? I have tried to make a pattern myself and have my friend help me sew it, but that ended up being a waste of fabric. Furthermore, what fabric did you use? That fabric looks great! Did you use interfacing when making it or just lining?
Unfortunately I don’t take commissions, nor do I think I can just digitize the Reaper jacket pattern (should probably start with something more simple, since I’ve never published a pattern before!). I can say that I drafted the Reaper coat first in a stiff cotton from a trench coat pattern. I made sure to create/move around the seam-lines as seen on his game model. The final fabric I used is a soft, medium weight, two-way stretch vinyl-leather that retailed for about $40.00 a meter USD and I cut the patterns on the bias. The jacket is lined with a matte generic suit liner. Various pieces are backed with stiff interfacing, EVA foam and wire. I must also include that we were very careful about the fit of jacket BEFORE moving on to using the final fabric. Soft leather/vinyl fabric will show previous stitching/holes made by machine stitching, so its a cut once, sew once affair. I hope that helps a little.
May I ask where or who the elite sword was made by?? I have been wanting a replica of Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker forever and I can foresee them doing an amazing job on it as they did with that Elite sword!! O.O

Woah you're awesome- I'm getting into cosplay for the first time in my life and it's all a little intimidating as a person whose never actually sewn anything before, but finding your blog actually really motivated me:) it's really cool how you answer ask and give advice, so kudos to you for your badass cosplays and great personality, thanks a ton for sharing your talent online and I hope ya have a great day!

Hi there! Unfortunately to those who are curious about this, my husband and I both have busy careers, so we simply choose to spend our free time making stuff for ourselves. Cosplay is a fun/creative outlet for us, and it is not driven by money, but by our dirty, dirty nerdness. I will note that we DO sell extra casts of stuff we mold.

Hi friend! So when I’m not covering a lot of space, ie: when most of my body is covered by the costume, I prefer to wear water based cake bodypaint. My favorite I’ve worked with so far is Mehron’s Paradise AQ. My process is as follows: I use a good foundation primer, apply the bodypaint with a wide foundation brush, seal with a finishing spray (I like Ben Nye’s Final Seal), contour with powder eye shadows and finally, seal everything with a good coat of matte, translucent powder makeup.
I just saw your Star Wars twilek cosplay and thought wow, you could probably nail an Asari cosplay from Mass Effect too! Then I saw that you do actually like Mass Effect on your blog description. Have you done any MAss Effect cosplays? Anywhere I can see them? I just love mass effect
Soooo funny story! I did an Asari dancer cosplay from the Afterlife Club! I would love to eventually tackle Aria. She is sassy and precious. (I also am about 50% done with my TALI costume and plan on finishing it this year!)
