Would Rax play guitar?

Oh totally! He’s an edgy bastard (affectionate) and would definitely play electric guitar and be hella into hard rock/metal! His music taste falls around Slipknot and Hollywood Undead. But I’d be lying if I said he didn’t also listen to Lady Gaga tho

How does Danny meet Rax?

I have a ton of different AUs with these two but originally Danny finds Rax imprisoned in the dungeons under Pariah’s Keep after he ascends to throne when he turns 21. Clockwork told Danny about the previous royal family and he decided that the dragon prince deserves his freedom, having been imprisoned for defying his father in the first place. In thanks, Rax swears himself to Danny as his personal guard and things just go from there.

Do you rp because I'm looking for someone to rp with

Um- yes and no?

I’m extremely picky (namely because I’ve had painfully awkward experiences trying to rp with people I didn’t know well enough beforehand)

I have a question on how Dragon Vlad's clothes work since it seems to fade into his claws.

How does that work?

Imma be real- I have no fuckin clue. Ectoplasm dragon magic bullshit?

I approached the design with the thought process of how they would have looked in the show if this happened, their clothes morphing with them.

Might adjust future designs so the clothes change AROUND the new feature as I did with Cyrus and Marcus.

What is your top 5 best Dragon ? :3

Don’t know if you mean in media or my own so I will do both! Long post ahead!

1. Aurelion Sol

My 2 favorite things mixed into one- space and dragons! Not only that but his voice is god-tier! He’s a bastard and I love him!

2. Giratina

My favorite Pokémon- right next to Garchomp. Also doesn’t look like a traditional dragon but I love them anyway!

3. Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon

My soul card. I got into playing Yugioh in middle school and it’s just stayed with me, this being my favorite card

4. Drogon

A little mainstream but I ADORE him! He’s a such a good boi! Precious baby!

5. Cricket

She is precious and adorable and sweet- her and Blue have to be the best thus far next to Moon, Qibli and Winter (and yes I read Wings of Fire- I even have a few ocs if anyone is interested)

As for my OWN dragons…

1. Methuselah

The bastard dad, he’s been my emotional crutch, my support, my confidant- my everything since middle school. He helped me get through a lot of shit and has to be my most developed character. I love him to absolute bits.

2. Elryk

The old man- I made him in high school and just fell in love. He originally was my ultimate villain and he still is but there’s so much more to him now- my second most developed character.

3. Aurelia Whitehorn

Made her for a DnD campaign that I played with some close friends a year back and she has to be the one I bonded to the most. She’s the daughter of a character I played in the original campaign so she means that much more to me- I miss playing her dearly!

4. Rayla Arkenire

She may not look like it but she’s a blue (lightning) dragon- another DnD character I really bonded with and I’m so happy to be playing her again in Pathfinder. My spicy, sparky baby!

5. Tiamat

Not often to I fall in love with my designs as quickly as I did with her- I adore her! I’m so proud of her personality, her design, her place in the lore- I really outdid myself with her!

Those are my top 5 dragons! In both media and my own characters!

I've probably waxed poetic about proper characterization in not only ships & characters, but also character securities several times by now, but more than anything, when I create an original character, I always struggle to not just make them Mary Sue, because that's the last thing I want.

I want my character to be interesting & complex & flawed & have at least somewhat believable motivations & to, all-around, just not be perfect.

The last thing I want is a Mary Sue.

Sure, my character can have an abnormal amount of skills, but I don't want them to be able to do & know everything.

Do you struggle with this too in your characters?

YES! Yes I do! And it has taken me YEARS to refine a handful of my characters to the level of complexity I currently have them at!

For example, Methuselah, one of my oldest characters (I made him in middle school and I’m 1 year out of college for reference)- he started off as your cut-and-dry middle school edgy villain. But I found using him in rp and developing a complex backstory really helped shape him. Also, pulling traits from other characters in media to make a chimera of a personality helps. For Mez (Methuselah) I pulled a lot from Anakin/Vader from Star Wars. For another character, Raiden, I pulled from Kylo Ren and Rhysand (from ACOTAR). My baby Cyris is a mix of Ahsoka and Leia. (I have a tendency to draw a lot of inspiration from Star Wars lol)

I found another thing that helps is referring to the DnD backgrounds and plucking traits from there- they have some really good ones. That’s what helped me shape Aurelia and Rayla, my two most complex DnD characters. Actually, Rayla is a great example- she’s not all powerful but she doesn’t want to be, she just wants the power to exact her revenge. Her flaw being that she’ll do anything to obtain that power coupled with her pride and standoff-ish nature she has a hard time making and keeping connections.

In short: be a crow, pick the things that you like and make a collage of it. Chimera that shit!
