if rq characters were animals, what animals would they be ? ? :)

Cal - The fandom says that he is a golden retriever. And I agree wholeheartedly. Although, I could see him as any kind of dog, really. He's loyal but can definitely bite when needed.

Mare - Raccoon, no explanation needed.

Maven - I don't know why?? My first instinct was a fennec fox 😭 absolutely no idea why because it's not accurate in the slightest. I'll go panther. It has to be a feline.

Iris - I think she would be an octopus. One of her favorite animals next to a whale shark. An octopus is smart and tactical, but they have proven to show unbelievable kindness and loyalty to ones they trust

Farley - So, I have a headcanon that she's not an animal lover. Not that she hates animals or anything, she just never felt the need to invest time to learn about them unless it was for hunting, and she doesn't feel a pull toward animals. That being said, the one she likes best is a cheetah.

Shade - Rabbit, obviously 🤭 (his nickname)

Gisa - A cute little hedgehog, sweet and cute but prickly when needed

Kilorn - If you've ever seen the hilarious videos of sea lions making weird noises and facial expressions and dancing, it's literally Kilorn in another life. I can see him having his profile picture on Instagram being a sea lion just because it made him laugh

Evangeline - White tiger. Or some kind of dangerous white cat. Mixed with a serpent. A white serpent-cat.

Elane - Firefly, 1) because she has a light manipulation ability, 2) so she can sing "Ma Belle Evangeline" from Princess and the Frog as Ray the firefly

Mare - Quality Time (even though she's hesitant with even that sometimes)

Cal - Quality Time / Acts of Service / Motorcycle

Maven - All. But also none, at the same time. Also grilled cheese.

Iris - Oddly? I think she secretly would enjoy physical touch in an ideal scenario. Since her and Maven are hardly ideal, I think she would take anything she would get and settle for acts of service even though she doesn't really care about it.

Evangeline - At the beginning of a relationship she would be hesitant to show any love languages. As it progresses with her and Elane, they are constantly showing physical touch through small and gentle touches.

Elane - "TELL I'M PRETTY, EVANGELINE" (also acts of service because she packs Eves luggage)

Farley - Acts of service, because she's so used to doing everything herself that having someone else do it so she can have some relaxation time is her idea of luxury. She also likes a good compliment, even if she'll respond with a witty retort with it.

Shade - If Farley ever gave him a "just because" gift, I think he would absolutely melt. He doesn't expect them, but I think he would immediately be giving her 110% of his attention in return. As if he doesn't do that already. Although, I think Shade could easily encapsulate all of the love languages, for literally anyone.

Kilorn - Quality time is something he craves from everyone. He wants to feel seen and reassured that they think he is worth something, and that they won't leave, even if he expects it.

Cameron - I also think she likes physical touch if she likes the person enough to let them get close. That's how you know she doesn't dislike you, if she lets you pat her shoulder without her breaking your hand 🫶🏼

What was marecal wedding like

Marecal Wedding! 🌌🔥

- It seems like a big event but really they only have the least traitory family there and friends, some coworkers and people from the Guard.

- Forest/Nature theme

- Mare definitely gave him a dirty Polaroid picture in the middle of dinner and he choked on his food.

- Cal joked about getting a bouncy house for reception entertainment (it was Ruth's wedding present to him)

- Clara was their flower girl

- Gisa was the maid of honor, the best man spot was left empty for Maven. Kilorn was right after it.

- As well as Daniel getting them a wedding gift, Cal surprised him with a gift as well since he knew how hard it was for Mares father to give her away.

- LATE afterparty...

- They had a burn-away entrance where there was a barrier covering the reception area and they lit it to make the entrance appear (think burn away cake but for a party entrance)

- For the group songs/dances they picked up their dog and danced with her

- Instead of writing notes each guest recorded a voice message on an old-fashioned phone so they can listen to it whenever they want and not just have to imagine their voices saying it

- Mare still doesn't love big dresses after being Mareena but of course she'll be happy about her wedding dress

- Their last dance was private after everyone had left... It was the same song they danced to in the ballroom. (Victoria confirmed the song was Poison & Wine)

hello !! any mare x cal post canon headcanons that you love ? maybe about their married life or when they have kids 🥰

Hello!! 💕 I'm not sure if you mean actual canon facts about future Marecal, or just the Headcanons part, so I tried my best, but if I didn't answer this how it was intended, feel free to correct me and ask again 🫶🏼

Here is me adding a Headcanon twist on canon Marecal facts:

- We know that when Cal gets jealous he makes the room heat up a bit to remind whoever he is jealous of that he has a power advantage over them. Mare does something similar, and will sometimes flicker the lights even just slightly to show that she's present in the room

- We know that Cal has a dirty mind when it comes to Mare. For example, when Julian asks if he knows how to "coax a storm out of her" and he smirks. I think when they are together he is vocal about these jokes but on more than one occasion didn't realize they weren't alone and embarrassed them in front of court/guard members

- When Mare is sleeping, he covers her with blankets. One year for their anniversary they got a big blanket with their names and wedding anniversary date stitched into it from Gisa

- Their kids inherit Cal's love for cake and ice cream. Most kids love them anyway, but their family is considered the "regulars" at the ice cream parlor

- Cal obviously knew about Kilorn having a tiny crush on Mare when they were teenagers, but when Mare admitted that she always assumed she would marry Kilorn back, Cal made an obvious face of disgust at the thought of her marrying someone else, especially someone who they were both still so close with (they could all still joke about it though)

What if I did one Headcanons post a week and how I decided which one to post (cuz I was on a roll yesterday and made like six different ones, and have more in mind) was I made a spinner wheel and had it decide 🧍🏼‍♀️ is that doing too much 🧍🏼‍♀️

What brainrot would they use 😭

Mare - Slay on occasion, had to explain to Cal what gyatt meant once and was dying laughing.

Cal - He'd use "Rizz" as a joke sometimes, I know this isn't technically brainrot but l anytime he heard "21" he'd do the voice. If you know you know.

Kilorn - Everything possible. Mostly to annoy people at first but then it became a habit and he was saying it in his sleep. Regularly texts the Scarlet Guard mission group starting with "chat" ("Chat I'm literally about to die lol can someone come help")

Cameron - Regretting her life decisions after hearing Kilorns brainrot yapping.

Farley - Said "slay" exactly once after Mare said it and has never said anything ever again.

Shade - Got kicked out of the house one night for saying "skibidi"

Gisa - Rizz, delulu, pookie... All the ones that are a little cutesy.

Maven - Caught himself saying "crash out" once and literally had to pause what he was doing and backtrack what he just said.
