If I love a game enough, I tend to write a fic about it lol. Tales of Symphonia, Baldur's Gate 3, Final Fantasy VII (OG and remake), the Silent Hill series...
Honorable mention Zelda: OoT and Twilight Princess. Aaaaand Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. I have beaten all of these multiple times lol
Do you still write for the FFVII Avert Crisis self-insert? Just wondering ^^
Since I’m trying to finish New Reality, it’s kind of taken a back seat! Not sure if/when I’ll get back to it. I kind of wrote myself into a corner with a lot of plot points tbh and didn’t have a solid direction with the overall story.
At this point I’d be more in favor of a rewrite that factors in elements from the Remake trilogy. I like the idea of Brit frantically trying to change things in the CC timeline, thinking she’s fighting against Jenova’s influence, when it’s actually endgame Sephiroth manipulating her/haunting the narrative.
How's life been treating you?
Not too bad, thanks for asking! Still have no freaking clue what I'm doing with my life but I'm making an effort to let this phase just be what it is, lol. Trying VERY hard not to fall into the usual seasonal depression with winter/the holidays coming. Started going to BJJ classes twice a week, and it kind of lit a fire under my ass to get in better shape. Also I am touch starved and the danger cuddles scratch that itch somehow lmao
All in all, after a very long period of floundering, I finally feel like I'm making some forward progress. Fingers crossed winter doesn't crush my hopes and dreams!

It’s been ages since my last playthrough, but I’ve always loved Jade and his dark/sarcastic humor. Guy would be a close second! But I enjoy the whole cast honestly. Abyss is probably my second fave after Symphonia

Nah, not really! Brit is honestly more of a fully-fledged OC at this point rather than a 1:1 copy of me. Besides, I just made the OC BritxZelos ship canon, so I’m more of an enabler if anything 😆

I have been following you since the beginning, and NR played a pivotal part of my childhood. I'm an adult now and I still check on you and your writing every few months. I have been following you for years, sending an occasional anon every few years, asking OC!Brit questions on her tumblr forever ago, and generally supporting you from afar since I was 10 years old. I think its so incredibly you have built your own community that has rallied with you for over a decade. I really think that stands a testiment to your writing abilities.

Thank you 🥺🥺🥺 I still can’t believe there are so many people who stuck around! I basically grew up writing these fics and it’s pretty cool to know a lot of people grew up reading them. Adult life irl is pretty lonely, so it’s been a comfort to come back to writing/reading fanfic and just generally engaging in fandoms on tumblr.
I’ve been asked about discord more than once over the years. I’ve still never used it lol because I’ve historically been such a lurker online, but maybe I should try actively engaging with people for once haha. I don’t get to talk about this stuff enough tbh and nobody irl knows about my fics (I’ve somehow flown under the radar despite plastering my real name all over the place lmao;;;)
