“You are kind, and make edible food.” the Sten remarked, “And your hair reminds me of a Tamassran - the colour of moonlight,”
Ever elegantly the Nug King saunters up to the quinari, sitting himself at his feet and begins to squeak regally. Whatever he's saying, it's apparent he does not realize the other might not know squeakinese. -Hisroyalwhiskers
“The lands outside of the Qun are strange indeed,” Sten muses, “Though I believe the chantry sister owned one of you a long time ago, he never had a crown.”

“You gave me a purpose after I failed to fulfil mine in Lothering. And you are a decent enough leader, until you prove otherwise.”

“You are a woman but also a proficient warrior, it is unsettling but I can not deny your skill.”
“There’s a big difference between mostly dead and all dead.”
“A good observation seeker,” Sten replied his voice deep with exertion, between swings at the practice dummy. “You are mostly dead if that crow comes at you with a dagger, and all dead if I swing Asala at you with purpose.”
“Thank you so much for bringing up such a painful subject. While you’re at it, why don’t you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it?”
Sten crossed his arms, he had only asked about the elf’s clan out of curiosity, he had not expected Tamlen to bristle so much at the question. He had asked him about his culture so he felt it imperative that he ask questions of his own. The response he sent with a frown, “Then you must master your pain warden, the blight is the larger issue.”

When he sits on that wooden chair, listening to the common people and their questions for one of their pillars to answer he sometimes goes back to think on that farm in Lothering. The people that had done nothing but help him but he had murdered. The Warden had given him purpose but when his world is quiet like this the feeling of madness sneaks up on him. The Tal Vashoth he could have become reflected in the corpses of those who were once Qunari. He grips tight to Asala in these moments to keep his hands from shaking.

#17 “You’re not allowed to die yet.”He uttered, Tyyne braced against his chest as he ran for a healer, the blade that had pierced her was intended for him, they had patched it up quickly to avoid unneeded time spent recovering, but he had not noticed the poison that had slowly started to infect her flesh until she had nearly fainted on the road. She had been a good travelling companion, and her selflessness demanded he save her.
