Hey, sorry if this was asked already, but what program and brushes do you use? They look really soft lol-
Hi, I use procreate and photoshop !
First, I like to use textured brushes to do the line art, I feel that it gives the drawing more style! Personally, I have separate layers for the base color and the shadows/lights, but if it works for you to paint on the same layer, go ahead!
When I’m working on photoshop I use the Hard Round Pressure Opacity, this brush give the edges that soft kinda look. Keep in mind that this brush works with pressure, so give the edges less pressure so it can fuse smoothly with the base color. And when you finish, if you want more texture add noise effect.
I use the Hard Airbrush the same way I use the Hard Round Pressure Opacity brush, plus i use Smudge to soften the edges a little more.
Tinderbox is one of my favorites, i use it to do the lineart in almost all my drawings and if you do the lights/shades with this brush, it gives the drawings a paper look.
All these brushes come by default in both programs, but if you are interested in some more, I'll put the download links of the brush packs that I use regularly down below ⤵ ( they are all free! )
