Hiii Katelyn loving Pokémon is so dear to me and I’m really glad someone else agrees :D I don’t know a whole lot about Pokémon but I drew Katelyn and oricorio once and if you wouldn’t mind I’d love it if you tell me any thoughts you have on her and Pokémon because again this lives rent free in my mind and it makes me a little insane. okay Katelyn and Pokemon headcanons tho! I think she’d be a big cute pokemon fan. she’s got a soft spot for cleffa, mew, eevee, etc but she isn’t limited to those. she likes the cool and badass ones but that’s beside the point
I don’t think she’s a competitive player, I think she goes for vibes. “aaron, what’s the point of playing the game if my team is only the BEST possible pokemon? where’s the fun in that?” as she proceeds to keep an un-evolved eevee for AGES in her play through before she deigns to pick which eeveelution she wants.
she cried at pokemon: the first movie, and the first time she visited pokemon tower in lavender town, and when she discovered the fan theory about gary’s raticate. she’s a sensitive pokemon fan but that’s totally fine because same, girl.
she’s a big piplup girlie ever since diamond came out. she likes that piplup starts out sooo precious and cute before becoming a badass empoleon. she loves friendship evolution pokemon because it warms her heart when she Finally gets them to evolve. it’s self care for her.
her sibling(s) is/are also pokemon fans and they get opposite versions to trade. she bought her nieces/nephews a set of kanto starter plushies and let them pick their “starter” so raise them started on it all.
she has the cutest pokemon merch possible too. neil didn’t tell us but her backpack has a pikachu on it and she has a cleffa keychain on it. trust me, I know her personally
