Pokémon au eternalholly …. More thoughts on that please

to be transparent im honestly not the biggest eternalholly fan- but! I wanna try changing that a little bit! because I obviously get why ppl like the ship, it makes sense!! so hopefully adding eternalholly to the pokemon au will help !

pretty much in this au- holly manages to beat sugar and take her spot as gym leader (same for all the ancients and their beasts) all the beasts are very well known and very strong gym leaders, so when this new group of trainers suddenly wipes the floor with them, sugar is no less than intrigued

she immediately labels holly as her arch nemesis, and her #1 rival. shes the only other trainer who's been able to beat her and avoid her tricks on the field, so she has this urge to want to keep battling pokemon with her to figure holly out

theyre fun! I wanna expand on their dynamic more once I get some solid designs + lore down, but this is what ive got so far :D

Something I find really funny is that in the new beast interactions in the Kingdom, is that - contrary to all previous theories - Silent Salt seems to hate Mystic Flour the most, and seems almost amicable towards Shmilk. It‘s literally-

Honestly, it‘s just straight up poetry.

its definitely very interesting seeing their interactions together!! im very glad we finally got them!

and im definitely still curious about smc and sscs relationship overall, since so far it seems like in story ssc has an equal "hatred" towards the other beasts for betraying him (and as far as we're aware at least theyre all pretty much at equal blame. it didnt seem like smc or any of his minions or whatever did anything the other beasts didnt yk)

the part in the trailer that led everyone to believe he hated smc mightve just been a random choice? but knowing crk i definitely dont think thats entirely true, so my best assumption is that maybe theres still something we dont know?

or! maybe ssc just particularly dislikes smc because he inadvertently got elder faerie killed and released them from the tree, so that'd make a lot of sense

idk! maybe im completely wrong and all these theories about ssc hating smc was just to throw us off! Hopefully we'll find out in the second half of his and wilys story

I wonder if Shadow Milk is lying about being the first to corrupt because he wants to take responsibility for the others' corruption- not in a proud way, but in a "I'm a failure and I feel guilty for things that aren't actually my fault/out of my control" aka how Pure Vanilla feels sometimes.

it could definitely tie in with him being the fount of knowledge and him carrying this immense amount of guilt for not "knowing" soon enough to even try and save his friends or not having correct answers on how to even save them in the first place

i also think that'd be a very nice tie in with pure vanilla as well like you said! and another thing to add to the "im the only one who truly understands" pile

while I unfortunately dont think this is the direction they'll take with smc and the beasts, I do like it a lot! and who knows ! maybe something similar will end up being true to the story :D

I hope they don‘t go the ‚it‘s all on Shmilk‘ route.

Though I find the idea interesting that he UNINTENTIONALLY caused Mystic Flour‘s downfall.

Just him truthfully telling a group of desperate cookies about someone granting wishes at the Ivory Pagoda, but now they are in a cocoon.

This then naturally gets warped into 'be the first to rip open that cocoon, and take what‘s inside- it‘ll grant your wish'. Resulting in a fierce battle and escalating violence as cookies pursue this wish granting artifact. And presenting the worst of Cookiekind to a newly awoken Mystic Flour. Causing her corruption.

All this, because the Fount of Knowledge, Shadow Milk, future Beast of Deceit…

told a truth.

I feel like something like that is way more interesting than just blaming Shmilk for everything.

I fully agree! like I said before I know it might be my shamil pilled brain talking, but blaming smc for EVERYTHING that happened to the beasts is untrue?

hes not a great guy obviously. im not pretending everyone should love him or even like him, but its just so intriguing to me how ALL the beasts seem to despise him so much

maybe they all blame smc for bringing them down from glory, since i think its confirmed he was the first to fall, so they all have this grudge against him for ruining the peace. (even then though...I think about burning spice and his story, and how smc had NOTHING to do with that...idk)

its really tricky for me to think about and Im not great at coming up with theories, but I can say I do fully agree with your take anon!

Do you think Crunchy Chip would have more conflicted feelings/opinions towards Dark Choco than Caramel Arrow does, like he doesn't hate him but he's also not ready to forgive him

i had to think abt this for a second because I honestly haven't delved too deep into Dark Choco lore? I honestly dont know very much about him except surface level stuff that includes him in the main story and beast yeast!

but the way I see it is probably yes! I feel like Crunchy Chip would have a very plain black and white kind of view on Dark Choco simply because of his actions towards the Dark Cacao kingdom. Crunchy Chip hasn't experienced anything personally, no, but the attacks on Dark Cacao and their kingdom feel like a personal attack. Dark Choco has hurt people he deeply cares for.

Adding onto this too, I think hed have a similar perspective on Affogato, because of the things he did to get Caramel Arrow out of the way. That's his sister !!! You got her exiled!!! That's not going to be forgotten or forgiven easily.

Basically, the way I view Crunchy Chip's opinion on these cookies is moreso since he didn't personally experience any of the damage these cookies caused, he hears the stories from his loved ones and feels that betrayal and anger for them because of his undying loyalty. I feel even if both Dark Cacao and Affogato made full strides in redemption- (more Affogato, Dark Choco is already taking the steps in the right direction) he'd most likely still hold a sense of disliking for them both, but would ultimately do his best to accept their change if Dark Cacao and Caramel Arrow were also open to it.

Do you have any headcanons for Caramel Arrow Cookie and Crunchy Chip Cookie, sorry I just love the cacao siblings

HEY YES I DO !!! man I love nothing more than ppl asking my hcs on things...by golly

i dont have many headcanons i think! but ill gladly talk about some of my favorites :D

firstly, right off the bat, carrow and chip are blood related. my brain hates going thru the messy details of figuring out their age gap- all I know is that i see carrow as the older sister, and chip as her younger brother, so take that as you will!

when they were kids carrow and chip sadly got separated when they were running around together in the woods. chip had tumbled down in the snow and when his cream pup ran after him carrow couldn't find them anywhere for YEARS. only when she was exiled did she finally reunite with her brother! I had planned out a little comic sketch for this but lost motivation for it so :(

big comfort hc of mine for chip is that hes ftm, and in addition to that him and carrow are mlm and wlw solidarity!

i feel like ive talked abt chip a lot so- a little hc I have for carrow is that she actually has quite a deep rooted fear for cream wolves and dogs, even though shes personally never really had any problems with either in the past, its just something thats stuck with her for a long time. being around chips cream wolf certainly helps her come to peace with it, but its always there in the back of her mind

i also really love just giving carrow and chip a super strong bond, and giving them this sort of promise that theyd always tell each other everything and never keep secrets from each other. is this also a perfect way to create potential angst situations? absolutely! i am nothing but a sucker for familial angst

and i think thats it ! can't really think of anything else at the moment but ! thank you again for the ask :D this was fun !!
