A/N: Cheesy? Yes. But also a characterization exercise. We'll pretend whoever's flirting with you is just mega stupid to not automatically recognize the Beast Cookies

Mystic Flour
ᯓᡣ𐭩 To put a name to any of Mystic Flour's emotions is ill-advised, as she firmly insists apathy is key to everything. She certainly doesn't feel anything when a small, measly crispy Cookie comes up to chat with you. Nothing at all. Or that's what she tells herself, at least
ᯓᡣ𐭩 She will open up her eyes to give them one of her chilling stares, which in most cases is enough to make Cookies flee immediately. If they persist, she steps close to your side, showing that you have someone occupying your arm already
ᯓᡣ𐭩 "Your quest for company is utterly futile. Turn back now, and spare my beloved the sight of your pitiful face."
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Afterwards she stays close to your side, commenting about how the needs of Cookies are so meaningless and simple. She doesn't object when you link your arm with hers. If anything, you could swear she holds you tighter than normal
Burning Spice
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Honestly he's more offended that a Cookie approached and didn't acknowledge him at all. They went straight to you, immediately getting too friendly. The Spice Overlord felt his pride fall to the side for once, feeling intensely competitive over you
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He's not subtle about it at all. Gives the stranger a nasty glare as he wraps a huge arm around you, tugging you close until your back touches his chest. He looks at the mortal with judgement. Someone as puny as them thinks they could earn your hand? How pathetic!
ᯓᡣ𐭩 "Run along now. Unless you're prepared to fight for that prize"
ᯓᡣ𐭩 If anyone's stupid enough to take him up on that offer, they're head-first flung yards away in seconds. For the rest of the day he keeps you squished to his side, making comments about how only he can keep you as his grand prize. Puffs up a bit when you squeeze his arm or affirm his boasting
Shadow Milk
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Emotions right on his sleeve, starts glaring at the other Cookie instantly. He becomes extra clingy, hovering around you at all times and constantly cutting off the other so he can hold your attention instead. Any time you're not looking, he gives them more disgusted glances
ᯓᡣ𐭩 If that somehow doesn't work, he isn't above just straight up scaring/threatening them away. To avoid being lectured, he'll likely divert your attention, summon up a portal, and make one of his tiny minions push them in. Before you know it, the stranger's gone, and he acts just as surprised as you
ᯓᡣ𐭩 "Awwh, too bad! I could use another puppet! Oh well, so sad. But back to more important matters—"
ᯓᡣ𐭩 You're not oblivious, you knew what the jester was trying to do from the moment he stepped into the conversation. He acts innocent, but the wicked grin on his face gives him away. He doesn't know where the portal led, and he could care less
Eternal Sugar
ᯓᡣ𐭩 It's really hard to not notice that you and Eternal Sugar are together. When she isn't hovering around you and cooing sweet praises, she's looking at you with flushed cheeks and eyes that literally sparkle. So when another Cookie tries to chat you up, she instantly feels like it's an intentional misstep
ᯓᡣ𐭩 She at minimum keeps a wing around you at all times, usually while also holding your hand and playing with your hair. She'll smile kindly at you, but there's a strain to the corners when it comes to the stranger. She knows she'll always have your attention, it's when they try to physically move in that she suddenly grips their wrist tightly, wings flared out
ᯓᡣ𐭩 "Did I say you could touch my darling?~ I know they're adorable, but they're all for me~"
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Her tone may be the same, but the dark shadow that crossed over her face was anything but reassuring. Afterwards, she returns to her usual lovey self, lamenting that she was only trying to protect you! You understand, right? You're much too precious to lose!
Silent Salt
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Definitely the calmest of all his fellow Beasts. He doesn't interfere unless he's actually 100% sure they're trying to flirt with you. And even then he'll wait to see if you get out of it, but he'll stand protective guard right behind you to cast an intimidating shadow
ᯓᡣ𐭩 The moment the Cookie pushes their luck, Silent Salt pushes back. His sword remains at his side, but his free arm wraps around you securely, a dangerous glint in the vacant eyes of his helmet. He leans in, making sure the stranger keeps their distance
ᯓᡣ𐭩 "They are not interested. Take your cheap advances elsewhere"
ᯓᡣ𐭩 The most petty he gets is making sure the stranger hears him call you 'dearest' as you walk away. Refuses to admit to jealousy, but he does openly keep you in close range at all times for weeks following the interaction

i like to imagine the both of them get pretty bad nightmares sometimes after beast yeast happened, but they dont really wake each other up when the bad dreams come. wildberry especially imo
i like thinking crunchy chip is a pretty heavy sleeper all things considered- besides when with his pack and in his most natural environment, he never fully sleeps, kinda like the metaphorical way of sleeping with one eye open- so whenever wildberry does get pretty bad nightmares he never really wakes up chip by accident
but yk. figured there's a chance he does eventually, so i just sketched it out :3c
Gonna put this here too. I've seen a lot of people lately making disable Shadow Milk (which I love) but I kinda want the same love for the other beast/cookies in general.
Like, Burning Spice having Phantom limb syndrome cause he forgets that he no longer has 6 arms. Poor guy keeps forgeting the second he's not thinking of destroying something
Maybe in the future I might make a little thread with drawings or just yapping about some cookies I hc with dissabilities if you guys don't mind

When Pure Vanilla first baked you (or adopted you as a baby idk you chose) he became so much happier. He was going to celebrate your birth with a festival like Hollyberry suggested, but he thought it might be a little too much for a fresh baby such as yourself. He still celebrated, just in a different way. He sang you a song, one that told you how he will always protect you, that he will always love you, and cherish you no matter what. He promised you, while holding your tiny hand in his, that he will always be there for you.
As you grew older, he started teaching you his core values as soon as he could. "Never lie" "always be kind" "try your hardest for everyone" things like that. He also took it upon himself to teach you magic as soon as possible. Just the basics until you were old enough to vocalize your own ambitions. (Though he would be ecstatic if you said you wanted to be a healer like him)
Pure Vanilla loves putting you in cute outfits, especially if they match him in some way. He would also give you a little flower staff like the one he has, and absolutely die of cuteness.
VERY overprotective. He never wanted you out of his sight for the first few years, and even after that he wasn't fond of your absence. You were practically attached to his hip.
He's the type of parent to see you as the "most adorable little dough" even if you were very clearly not. (He will bite if anyone says otherwise).
As you are growing up it felt like he could read your mind. He always knows when you are having a bad day, or if you are trying to hide something. And somehow, he would also know exactly how to cheer you up. He knows your fav plays, books, games, snacks, all to keep you his "happy little sunflower".
If you are ever crying about something, no matter how big or small the cause might seem, he will always be there. He'll swaddle you in his arms, petting your head as he tells you how it is all going to be okay, that your feelings are valid. You deserve the comfort no matter what, and he will always be there to provide you with it.
He has little nicknames for you! (Obviously) Those include sunflower, little flower, little truth, my prince/princess/royal, sunshine, little one, or simply a short version of your name.
Sometimes he has hard days and pushes himself a bit too far, burning out by dinner time. He still makes an effort to interact with you, but depending on your age he will react differently afterwards. If you're a baby/child, he will put you to bed early and read a book beside you until he falls asleep in a chair, or moves to his own room. If you're an older kid/pre teen, he'll try his best to communicate how he feels, but it isn't easy for him. You will get the message though and go occupy yourself until bedtime. (He will feel bad about this, but such is the way of the worm ig). He will always appreciate gifts that you make for him to try and help him feel better.
He will most likely always baby you to some degree. No matter how old you get you will always be his little baby dough.
He probably celebrates every little milestone you hit growing up. First giggle? "Amazing!" First step? "Oh my witches, you are incredible!" First word? "Yes! I'm so proud of you!"
He also tells you how proud he is of you whenever he gets the chance to. Just you being there beside him fills him with joy and pride.

Pure Vanilla doesn't eat very much, in fact he struggles with it heavily. If he found out that toddler/kid you noticed this and started copying his eating habits, he would probably feel crushed. He immediately starts eating more around you, coxing you to eat as much as you want, when you want. He still struggles with it, but as soon as he reminds himself that you would copy whatever he was doing, he's eating 3 meals a day and drinking water regularly.

If you throw tantrums as a young kid, he never gets angry at you. Even if you try to take your frustration out on others, he's softly there to remind you that "we use our nice hands with other cookies! Our mean hands are reserved for pillows and toys." When you calm down, he will sit you on his knee and ask what made you upset, and how it is better to use our words rather than hands.
Not well put together at all btw, plus I might make some more broad ones in the future. These ones are mainly related to their backstory with the witch
GINGERBRAVE:
-woke up in the oven while the rest of his batch was being overbaked (the witch forgot to take them out) there was a lot of fire and burning cookies, the only other still living one in there was Dozer. The only reason those two were alive was because they were in the center of the tray
-The two of them escaped the oven but quickly ran into the witch, who grabbed Dozer and bit half his head off before dropping him again (because he tasted like shi-) and chased after GingerBrave
-GingerBrave ran away and hid after that and is totally not traumatized for life
-Ever so slightly overbaked, a little bit numb to pain as a result
-The whole fiasco gave him a fear of fire
-Feels really guilty for not being able to save Dozer
-Very attached to his Candy Cane as it was the first thing he ever held, and it saved his life when he had to escape
-After grouping up with Wizard and Strawberry, he was the main one that explored around to find supplies, information etc, had to run from the cat and the witch A LOT
-way faster and braver than he should be because he needed to be
STRAWBERRY COOKIE:
-Woke up on a plate alone, was able to wander off when the witch was in another room. Very lucky and knows it
-Watched GingerBrave and Dozer escape and was going to try to meet with them, but then the witch came in. She watched helplessly as the witch ate Dozer and chased GingerBrave
-Found her lollipop pretty soon after that as a precautionary weapon
WIZARD COOKIE:
-Woke up in a pile of other identical cookies, escaped and wandered around a bit before finding the witch’s wand. He was drawn to it and took it
-Heard a commotion going on and went to check it out, witnessed the same thing as Strawberry
-Immediately noped the fuck out of there
-Underbaked, kind of frail as a result (that’s also why he’s so short)
-The first time he held the wand it shocked him pretty badly, gave him a scar over his eye. That’s why he covers it
-taught himself magic by reading the witch’s books
MISC STORY STUFF:
-They all ended up meeting in the cupboards and agreed they had to get out of there
-None of them really had names so they decided to name each other. Wizard was originally called ice cream cookie cuz of the hair, but he wanted to be a wizard soooo. Strawberry was automatically called strawberry because she smelled like strawberries. GingerBrave was originally Ginger Cookie/GingerBread Cookie (interchangeable) for like a week, but changed it to GingerBrave because Wizard made a pun and GingerBrave didn’t know it was a pun and liked it (something something transmasc GingerBrave headcanon)
-they were in the castle trying to survive for a while (about two weeks) before they all got separated and escaped through different ways
Strawberry - door was open, ran out
Wizard - zapped the cat to distract the witch (and also save GingerBrave’s ass) and ran out a different door
GingerBrave - was being chased by the cat and fell out a window. Somehow didn’t break his legs
I was thinking about Sage of Truth, as one does at two in the morning, and I think I've settled on a characterisation for him.
He's supposed to parallel Shadow Milk in the sense that where Shadow Milk went headfirst into Deceit to cope with losing faith in the witches, Sage of Truth did the opposite. When confronted with the cruelty of the witches he embraced his role in that cruelty. Where Shadow Milk lies to make people happy Sage doesn't care how much the truth hurts, he will do anything in his power to make sure it is brought to the light.
He's essentially a religious zealot, where Shadow Milk rejected the cruelty of religion Sage completely embraced it and they both completely lost themselves in the process.
Anyways I think if Sage and Shadow Milk had to have a conversation Sage would completely rip Shadow Milk to shreds. His ass would not last two seconds in a room with Sage.
Anyways, he also doesn't display any of the physical affects of corruption because he didn't turn his back on/lose faith in the Witches
