Hi! Will it be possible to build genuine friendships with characters you are not romancing? I understand this aint a found family, friendly adventure type of story after all

Hi!! And yes, absolutely!!

While they may not be the most healthy or conventional friendships/relationships, u absolutely have the ability to build an intensely deep bond with all of ur companions (both platonically & otherwise.) This is a character driven story, & the relationships you have w/ur companions -- even if u and another character HATE each other -- reflect that

Friendship plays as big of a part in this story as romance does, & u will be able to experience the depth these characters have even if ur not romantically involved. (SANGUISUGA didn't even HAVE romance in the original draft, so don't worry abt quality!! Platonic relationships have always had a vry important role. It's kind of like found family but. The most fucked up family u could find)

About how many people would you say are left in the sanguisuga world? Will people always be able to clock the host as a monster? Or will we be able we hide among them with a good enough scarf, clothes, and hygiene habits?

At this point in time, so long after the initial collapse of society, there's a pretty sizable population -- tho it is rather scattered when not taking into account groups & communities

The second question is a bit harder to answer as things like general intelligence & levels of skeptisism can vary wildly frm person to person due to education not exactly following a rulebook anymore. Some communities are more believing in the occult/supernatural than others -- like how Faust didn't even know what a vampire was until she met u, while Sebastion is a die-hard believer & 'expert' in creatures like u. So it depends

Yes, you'll be required to hide certain aspects of urself in-game when around ppl other than ur group. Can't say much else abt that atm

Are vampire bites painful or pleasurable? Or both? If its too much of a spoiler (since we'll get to see it in-game), is there anything else you could tell us about how vampires work, physically? Everyone kinda write vampires slightly different, what would you say is your favourite part of your vampires? Looking forward to the demo ❤️

Pretty damn painful!! I've described it b4, but in this universe, when the teeth enter live flesh, the canines and premolars extend to be longer than they already are before CURVING inwards -- this essentially "locks" the vampire & victim together until the feeding is finished, lest a thunk of flesh is completely ripped out

For me, I always greatly enjoyed the explicit body horror that is involved in vampirism, & I strive 2 push that 2 the extreme!! It gives me a lot of wiggle room w/my gore & horror, and it's very fun 2 write!!
