Dear Adrian,
You are kind, generous, loving and a lot more openminded than I could ever be. You never cared for the status quo and have been willing to throw away everything to be with me. You are hot, sexy and you make me feel all warm inside when the world is a cold, hard place.
That and so much more, is why this is so hard for me to say. Something happened while I was away. I feel so terrible for what happened. Not because I didn't want it to happen, but because I wanted to wait until I had the chance to talk to you first and end things in a cleaner way.
Dimitri still loves me, and some part of you must know I never stopped loving him either. So when he finally opened up to me and we were alone, one thing led to another.
I don't want to keep this from you or string you along anymore, that's why I'm writing you this letter. I can't let myself be too distracted either, because I still have people to protect, and so I can't tell you this over the phone. Not that it's a much better way to end things anyway. But a fight with you right now would only distract me further.
I'm really sorry this happened. I wish there were two of me, so this didn't have to happen. You deserve all the love, Adrian. I have never met anyone like you. It might sound like a lie, but I really didn't mean to break your heart. I hope you can forgive me some day and we can still be friends.
