(shaymincafe) ShayingStar @ Kelpie: Wow!! Can't say I've ever seen a fusion like you before, though I've heard the tales of your kind. Do you have any plans to visit the library inside? It has a lot of interesting books that you might fancy.

“Ah yes, why don’t we all go settle inside the library. I am sure it is far more relaxing in there and has some wonderous tales to share within its walls,” she hummed before glancing to the small Eternatus, giving them a gentle smile to try and ease their worries.

She manages to locate a book on the shelf and flips through it a little before settling down by some cushions with her new acquaintances. 

“Now, you are both quite unique Pokemon yourselves. A Shaymin seemingly made of the stars above and,” she turned her gaze to the Eternatus. “I have never seen someone of your species this size nor this close up. Your crystal structure is quite beautiful,” she comments as she settled in. 

Upon hearing the Eternatus’s question, she glanced over to the young Beowulf who was waging a battle of the pillows with another Pokemon. “I was planning to read and just watch over young Beowulf as he runs about. But I can multi-task. Getting to meet new faces is always rewarding~” she adds with a gentle smile.

Decided to draw cards for some of my favorite blogs as practice, even if I don’t follow their blogs at the moment. I had to stop halfway because my back and wrist were starting to hurt, and I didn’t want to burn myself out again. To be completely honest, I’m especially proud of the backgrounds that I made.

I’ve had this on the backburner for quite a while, considering Leilani’s url in my notes was still “leilani-popplio”. Oops. Well, either that or I just forgot that they changed their url and it sticks out more in my memory thanks to the first interactions our characters had.

5 out of 10 so far ain’t too bad I guess.

"That's why I usually sleep in my Heal Ball. In that I sleep like a rock, but outside of that I've always slept a little too lightly and I always end up tossing and turning. It really doesn't help I get weird dreams like the one about the forest fire and the Shiny Zamazenta whenever I sleep outside..."

Mewtwo tapped his chin as he thought of what story to tell. "You have probably had bad experiences with humans, but, well... Just listen to this one..."

Once upon a time, there lived an elderly woodcutter and his wife, making their living cutting wood and fishing. The woodcutter was kind and honest, but his wife was greedy and arrogant. It was a wonder that the two remained together as long as they had. While out gathering wood one day, the old man found an injured taillow crying out for help. Feeling sorry for the small pokemon, the old man brought them home and gave the taillow some rice to help them recover. His wife, being the selfish person she was, could not understand why her husband would waste food on such an insignificant pokemon. The old man paid her no mind and continued to care for the taillow.

Many days passed and the old man had to go to the mountains to cut more wood, having to leave the taillow in the care of his wife, whom had no intent to feed the bird. After her husband left to cut wood, the woman left to fish, leaving the taillow alone. Growing hungry while the woman was away, the taillow found starch that had been left out and could not help but eat it all. When the woman returned home to see what the taillow had done, she flew into a rage and cut the poor pokemon's tongue out, sending it flying back to the wilds. Days later, the old man returned home and heard from his wife what had happened.

Growing sad about what happened, the old man left again to find the taillow to apologize for his wife's actions. As he searched, other bird pokemon came to help him, eventually leading him to a palace hidden within a bamboo grove. As it so happened, the young taillow the old man took care of was the princess of the mountain. Wishing to repay his kindness, the princess taillow's father threw a feast, with lots of dancing and singing.

Eventually, the old man felt he had to return to his home and wife. Not wanting him to leave empty handed, the taillow princess offered him a large basket and a small basket to take with him. Feeling that he did not do anything worthy of a big reward, and as he was older and not as strong as in his prime, he took the small basket.

When he returned home, he opened the small basket to discover it to be full of treasure. His wife, upon seeing this, demanded to know where he had gotten it. Reluctantly, the old man revealed to his wife about the palace in the bamboo grove, and mentioned the larger basket. After berating him for not taking the larger basket and bringing home more treasure, the old woman left for the palace herself.

Upon arriving, the old woman was welcomed with hospitality rather than the hostility she had earned, and she immediately demanded the larger basket. The taillow princess did oblige, but warned the old woman to not open the basket until she returned home. The old woman, however, had no intent on returning to her husband, and opened the basket shortly after leaving the palace's vicinity. Instead of treasure, however, the basket was occupied by an arbok that sprang out and attacked the old woman and devoured her.

Shortly after, messengers from the palace flew to the old man's home to tell him of what happened. Saddened by the loss of his wife, but not too much as they convinced him to return to the palace to live peacefully with the mountain's birds for the rest of his life.
