Nonetheless, it had happened - Heart rarely had interactions with Celestia, but they were there, somehow - ponies oft met the Solar Princess more than they thought, but Heart’s talent tended to throw him in the social circles of pretty much every pony, everywhere.

The real reason he had kissed her?

How many times in your life can you say you straight up kissed the Solar Princess and have her confirm the story?

Plus, he wasn’t going to say it wasn’t fun.

... was Celestia flirting with her? Why else would she call the other graceful when it was clear she had two left hooves whenever she tried to dance? Twilight knew she wasn’t a good dancer. Oh... goodness, she was being called elegant and beautiful too! A faint blush dusted over her cheeks; she was flattered by the other alicorn’s words. She did have a strong bond with Celestia, though sometimes she often did wonder how things would be if... they were together. 

But... this was just harmless flirting! Right?

It was such an honor to have been chosen to be Princess Celestia’s pupil. She’d been studying day and night, and her hard work was finally beginning to pay off. Her parents were overjoyed! After all, their son was on his way to be a member of the Royal Guard and Twilight Sparkle was taken in by the sun princess herself. 

For a little while, she couldn’t bring herself to speak. Her hooves were stuck to the spot as she peered up in awe at the taller figure before her. To say that the young filly was starstruck would have been a major understatement.
