I don’t have any older brothers. Mr. Nim said so, but I like your name. It’s my name too. Ronin gave me my name, so that makes it good.

You talk like Finn, but then Ronin tells him he’s not suppose to say those words and he tells me I’m not suppose to say them either, but sometimes Ronin messes up and says them. Then he says he’s sorry and I’m still not allowed to say them.

Do you like birds? I like birds a lot! They’re better than sweets. Do you like sweets too? I like honey brittle the best. It’s crunchy and it gets stuck in my teeth. Ronin likes seed cake the best, but I think honey brittle is better. He says I can’t have it for dinner or breakfast, because I’m suppose to have it after, but I don’t know why.

The Last of the Leafmen (AU with Ask-TheEpicNod)

  He couldn't believe it. His best friend was dead and his whole world had fallen apart. The Queen herself was one of those monsters. They had spread their poison through spores and biting and turned all of Moonhaven. It was no longer safe.

  He grabbed Ronin and Nod and had just run for his life with them both by his side. His father and stepmother had both turned and killed their newborn son. That was what tipped Finn off about this infection spreading and he was glad he was able to get out in time, after grabbing a few survival items and weapons and haphazardly stuffing them in a pack, flinging it on his back, and leaving.

  Unfortunatly, the infection had caught up to them and it was revealed that Queen Marigold, or whatever she had become, had bit Ronin, thus transferring the disease. What followed was Ronin pleading with Finn to put an end to his life, saying that he was the only one Ronin trusted enough to do it. Of course, Finn had refused... until Ronin mentioned that either he was going to die or turn into one of those infected creatures and hurt people, and he would really rather it be the former of the two.

  Finn resigned and bade Nod look away as he held his turning friend in his arms and plunged the katana through him. Such an event shook the leafman. He couldn't help but think how cruel life was. First he lost Tara, and now Ronin. The only person he had left was Nod.

  As soon as he saw spores start to come from Ronin's body, he knew it was time to leave, lest he be infected too. So he grabbed Nod's arm and ran. He continued to run until he couldn't anymore and he just collapsed on the ground, the agony of his recent decision still fresh in his mind.

  "Why... why did I have to kill him... maybe we could have found a cure.... maybe we still had time..."
