Is the propositions ok?  Is there a better way to position the character to look better? (dual-mayhem.tumblr.com)

Proportions looking all right, if anything I’d say the only thing that stood out was the size of the hand contra the size of the head. I wound up increasing the size of the head, as it fit nicely with the rest of the body. 

In terms of posing, I’ll always advise that giving your pose a whole 110% more drama when sketching. Meaning, if the characters arm is bending, bend it 10% more. if your character’s head is tilting forward, tilt it 10% more. this is to accommodate for the diluting that happens when drawing correct anatomy and clothing on top of your sketch. As well as increasing the dramatic reading of your image.  Furthermore, I can recommend looking into angling your posing. Trying to fit interesting angles into the bend of your character. Such as the rear-in, chest-out in the redline. 

Especially the spine can be manipulated into all sorts of interesting bends and twists, and it’ll almost always look more dynamic than having it being static.
