Kro heard the small bells on the crystal door ring and a pair of steps walking nimbly towards him. He did not turn but chose to greet them with a deep and friendly voice.

“Good morning. How may I help you?” He stopped removing thorns from rose stems placed on a broad wooden plank when he heard the question. “An investigation?” The man turned around to face the counter of his shop where the voice came from. Kro cleaned his hands on his apron, picked a red cane and walked towards her with a slightly concerned expression while brushing his hair away from his shoulders.

“Are you a police officer? Did something happen?”
