Excuse Me (i regret nothing/)
Send me an “Excuse Me” and I’ll tell you my muse’s reaction to being Interrupted while… 6. Confessing their Vows at a Wedding
There he was; on his wedding day; dressed in a crisp, smart suit; hair tied back in a perfectly trimmed and decorated ribbon; fringe pinned away to the side. His eyes were void of makeup but seemingly bright in the violet colour they conveyed so well against his pale complexion. His hands remained clasped behind his back until he was holding his brides hands; listening to the vows being said to him, his eyes on the ground.
Did he really want to go through with this arranged marriage? The Baron had been definite that this would happen…unless he had given a good excuse; but he hadn’t found one in time. So there he was, about to vow his life away to a woman he had never seen before, never even knew…
“If anyone knows any reason why these two should not be wed, speak now.” The minister spoke, Joker swallowing heavily and feeling a heavy weight in his chest.
And then, a voice; a familiar, male’s voice at that. The entire gathering; mostly of the female’s family; turned around to face the back where a fellow was stood in a red coat and top hat.
Was that relief Joker felt, really?
"…A-August?"
