The Earl couldnt understand why the Manor looked so beautiful, so perfect, when he had been gone years. He was sure there was no possible way anyone couldve been living here all that time but when he listed to Alois speak he just assumed the demon had something to do with the entire thing. He was proving to be quite a useful new ally.
After he was seated at the table he rested his head on one hand while looking around the room. It was as if he had never left. Though with those thoughts, he began working on just how to begin their little farce with the peoplr who brutally murdered his family.
"You are fitting your role quite nicely. I take it you have been someones butler before?" He questioned, the smell of the food so enticing he felt his stomach growling before digging in. He, of course, didnt have the manors of an Earl at the moment, his body too starved to care as he ate. The food had to have been the most delicious thing he had ever eaten and it was only a few moments before he was finished and wiping his mouth off.
Of course he wanted more, much more but he knew he would get sick if he ate too much so he simply sipped the water he was given until it too was finished. "A bath sounds perfect" he smiled sleepily as he leaned back in his chair, tough he wasnt ready to see the scars that he was sure littered his body.
The demon let out a little bit of a laugh when he heard what Ciel had asked him, and he only gave his head a small nod in response. It had been so many years since he served as a butler, but this indeed wasn't his first time doing such things for someone else. But in another life he was just like Ciel -- and he knew enough what things tasted good together, and what things didn't. Or at least he could recall that sort of information, anyways.
" Yes, I've served a human once before. It was a boy older than you are now, but still a child. Nothing left, desperate for something to hold on to -- that one strand of something to pull himself up with. And he did. I was there to watch it all. It wasn't easy, but he did it. It was a pity to see him leave, really.. But his soul was one of the finest one's I've ever tasted.. "
When Alois noticed that Ciel was done eating, he gracefully picked the dishes up from the table and carried them back into the kitchen. He placed the dishes in the large sink and quickly rinsed them off before leaving them. He could take care of such things at a different time, not when he had things that had to be done. It had been such a long time since the demon had to be on his toes to do things right away for a human, but he'd have to adjust to it. He'd have to get used to caring for a human again, because this would be his life for a good while now. He didn't know how long it would take to bring fear back to the Phantomhive name -- but part of him didn't care. He knew Ciel's soul was going to be delicious when all was said and done, and that was at least one thing he could really look forward to. It was a rather rude thing for him to think of, but that was how demon's worked. When all was said and done, the only thing they care about in human's is their soul.
The demon was quick to go back to the dining hall where he noticed his master laying, and he stopped beside Ciel's chair.
" Shall I leave you here while I draw your bath, or should I take you with me now, Master? "
