Feel free to ignore this because I'm unsure if this goes against her allowed questions or not but I wanted to know if I could ask what or more if you have a job cuz I am around your age and there's not a lot of people who are systems in my area that I'm aware of.. I want to start looking for jobs and to be able to provide for my system and I would really like to know options because it feels like I would look up options and the majority of them are being gate kept.. Yeah thank you
So I figured out I'm not a system after years of debating it, so I can't speak on that aspect of it. However, I do not have a job either way.
I do deeply apologize for letting you on thinking I had OSDD. I didn't realize my intro post was out of date, I barely use this blog.
It's a very hard thing to accomplish nowadays, even if you have previous job experience, but I'm sure you can accomplish getting hired if you try and apply for many jobs all at once. Don't rely on applying for one place and expecting them to hire you immediately. Most jobs will just ignore your application if they're not a smaller business.
One person I'd put a request in to talk too for system related questions is older systems here on tumblr or finding some on discord or reddit (what I use)
@peppercornsystem is probably a resource to chat too
I'd heard that depending on where you decide to work, your stability in working somewhere in general, and your boss/coworkers can easily make or break your experience, but yes, it is possible for someone with DID/OSDD to work in the workforce. Letting trusted coworkers or bosses know that you have DID/OSDD will help you expediently, as long as you still advocate for yourself and actions as you work.
