Quirks: Jesse was assigned female at birth and transitioned after he had his daughter Lillian. He is a single dad who takes in stray animals, usually ones who are injured in some way.
Appearance: Jesse is a man who stands at 5 feet and 9 inches tall, he is thin and toned, being just muscular enough to be healthy and get tough jobs done. His light brown hair is short on the sides and long on top, brushed to the side where they create a bit of a wavy bang. He wears his facial hair as a scruffy look, only trimming his mustache and beard to achieve the rugged look without letting it get out of hand. He has blue grey eyes that lie beneath thick brows. Jesse has scars on his hands mostly, whether they were from repairing something that cut him or more likely, his cat Joe. But, he also has two long scars on his chest just beneath his pecs from his top surgery as well, though he is still a bit self conscious of them as well as the burn marks on his left shoulder from a spell gone wrong. He wears whatever is comfortable to him but usually is just a shirt and jeans, maybe a scarf if he’s feeling chilled.
Personality: Jesse is a bit of a grump to be honest. He’s a bit rough around the edges but is a fiercely loyal friend when it comes down to it. He makes a lot of jokes but bad puns will go straight to his heart. He is usually very sarcastic and insults his friends all in good fun. He is a bit emotionally stunted and has trouble expressing his feelings sometimes, which means he gets easily frustrated and has to remind himself to take a few steps back to calm down. However, when someone strikes a nerve by being purposefully malicious to someone he cares about, Jesse is not afraid to fight it out. Despite all of this, he tries his best to be a better person every day but he knows he’s still a work in progress.
Talents & Abilities: Jesse excelled greatly in potions and herbology, finding interest in the way different plants he lived beside could do such marvelous things. These talents instilled a lot of brewing and creating with his hands that set him up nicely for wanting to work with food and drink. He mixes drinks with potions to ease or even cure hangovers before they start, herbs sprinkled into food that give them different magical properties when consumed, such as soup that is exceptional for dispelling common colds.
History: Jesse is from Peoria, Illinois. He had a pleasant childhood, spending most of his time off in the woods or playing in the streams near his home. He showed promise for magical abilities when he was still young and when his mother recognized it, she taught him some of the native american magic she knew. Upon his 11th birthday, Jesse went off to Ilvermony where he was sorted into Pukwedgie and studied magic to his heart's content. After he graduated, he made his tavern back in his hometown, but when he heard about the world cup, he was unable to hold back any excitement about going. Deciding to make it a business venture, he packed his things and took his daughter off to Greece where they set up a concessions tent that they would sell drinks and snacks during the games.
