(ask-imaginary-dreamers) Casey frowned at Bryn and Odin, “So, why are you two here? Like what kind of info did you get on Darren’s parents? Are they ok?”
Brynn and Odin looked at each other then to the ground a bit hesitant to answer the question until Brynn finally broke the silence
Brynn: Me and Odin are a part of another guild that was aiding Darren's parents' investigation of a mysterious new region said to hold a treasure of unmeasurable power
Odin: We were at a temple that was rumoured to have clues about it's whereabouts when the temple doors shut with them inside.
Upon hearing this Darren and the rest of the group gasped Darren the one most affected by the information clenching his fist from inside his hoodie pocket
Darren: And you just left them there to face whatever dangers were in there?
Brynn: Of course not! We tried our hardest to get into the temple searched for alternative entrances even combined our most powerful moves trying to break down the door but to no avail.
Odin: That is until we met someone claiming to be the guardian of the temple. She said that to reopen the temple doors someone of the same bloodline arrived there and so we came here.
Brynn: So as it stands Darren it's now up to you to save your parents.
Darren stood there in shock. The words he wanted to hear for the longest have finally been spoken but he couldn't believe it, part of him wanted to get there as fast as possible but the other part of him was skeptical. Why now? Why wait after all this time? All of these thoughts were rolling around in his head it was starting to get a bit overwhelming
Darren: I-I need some time to think it over!
And with that he ran off to the guildmaster's office leaving the group behind
As the houndour started to run off he was stopped by Brynn's paw
Brynn: Leave him. He needs some time to sort this out
Buttermilk frowns as he watched the raboot enter their shared office closing the door behind him, part of him wanted to comfort his partner but decided to follow the glaceon's advice
As Darren closed and locked the door to the office behind him he slowly sunk to the ground tears gradually dripping down his face trying to calm himself down. He leaned back against the door eyes closed deep in thought
C-Could this r-really be happening...the moment I've been waiting almost a year for...
But...what if it is a trap
What if...they're actually gone..
No...No I can't think like that
Darren suddenly opened his eyes wide startled by the sudden voice but most of all that one word...
I-Is that what this feeling is?
Darren asked as he slowly stood up looking around for the voice as if it was nearby
Hope...I never thought I would hear that word for a long time..... Should I have hope? What if it'd all be for nothing....what then?
