Immortan Joe’s a lying arse who ignores people that put their work on hold to have a nice dinner with him just so he can yell at his War Boys. Or beat up on the Wretched. Or whatever the hell it is he does over at the Citadel. I’m morsing this out for everyone to see because it’s time you all knew.
It’s three inches of disappointment.
If Moore’s a natural blond, then I’m a fucking pacifist.
Don’t believe a damn thing that old liar tells ya.
Welp, Moore. My calendar says it’s apparently October, not that we can tell anymore. But I guess that means it’s time to talk about our costumes. I’m not going as Cinderella this year, so that’s right out. In fact, so’s everything with lace, silk, bows, and dresses. Nothing wrong with ‘em, but no one in the world wants to see me in one, including you and me.

Mint feels her husband stir beside her, and the movement shakes her from sleep.
It’s been a long time since Joe last took her. He barely touched her in the height of her pregnancy, and then, later, the Mechanic insisted Joe give her some time to recover if she was to be of any use.
Whether or not she’ll be of use anyway...well, that’s looking more doubtful now that the pregnancy is over.
She has to wonder if there’s some kind of poison in her veins that caused it to end so abruptly. One day there was kicking, the next day there wasn’t, and then it was just ...over. The baby was gone from her body as suddenly as it had arrived.
She’s still not used to the emptiness, and now there’s soreness to accompany it. Joe seems undaunted by the first failure, determined to try again as quickly as possible.
