What's your biggest regret, and why?

A while ago I was ordering food from one of my favorite Mexican places and instead of the normal braised pork burrito I get I opted for the nachos supremos and honestly they were so disappointing. Shoulda gotten the burrito.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be and why?

I would like to spend a day as a mesolithic hunter gatherer: to experience the life of one of our ancestors in a world before humans became the dominant force; to breathe the air before the industrial revolution; to see the Earth teeming with insects and animals; to try and understand how these people saw themselves in relation to everthing around them.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Somehow, I don’t look that far ahead like I used to, and I’m pretty sure it’s b/c of my age. I find that as I get older, the future doesn’t seem as important as the present.

When was the last time you fell in love, and why?

I was driving home at night a week or two ago. it had been rainy and it was hot and I rolled the windows down and sang along very loudly to some really good songs. those are the kind of moments where you sort of fall in love with being alive. you gotta fall in love a little bit all the time, I think, with all sorts of things. that's one of the best things about being human.

If you could give a stranger one bit of life advice, what would it be?

at some point you will meet friends, or partners, even strangers that feel like home. at some point you might find a home in someone else. and there's nothing wrong with that, it's lovely and it's important, but remember always to be a home for yourself too; we lose others and we meet others, but you will have to stay with yourself for a long while. you are not just a body, nor a vessel nor just a mind, but you are your own habitat. take care, water the plants, hang beautiful pictures on the walls. read beautiful books and consume good food so that you are full beautiful words and lovely flavours. build trust and security in yourself. more than anything else, become a cosy place for you ♡

When was the last time you fell in love, and why?

i fell in love with my boyfriend who's @blood-red-leaves here on tumblr bc he is the sweetest and preciousest and adorablest and funniest and most skilled at whatever he puts his mind to!!! we have similar tastes & interests, love spending time together and can talk abt anything for hours on end.

i don't relate to most relationship problems bc we interact on a fundamentally human level, beyond disparities fostered by gender roles (i mention this bc from my observations it's one of the main sources of conflict between heterosexual couples). also. we just have a lot of fun lol. what can i say, i'm a lucky citrus fruit 🍋
