I’m not sure what you mean by odd, but I guess some backstory would help it…I don’t hate ao//k is //e at all but I avoid drawing it because I’ve had numerous experiences in the past where I’d just draw the two standing together in an unrelated comic or drawing and people automatically think I’m shipping them ww.;; (This goes for any other ship that I don’t really intend too)
It becomes really frustrating and tiring for an artist for their art to be assumed something it’s not.
And don’t get me wrong, I’m very tolerant if I drew a pic of the two of them together. But when, for example, it’s a comic about THIS OTHER PAIRING or just a NON-SHIPPING comic, and aomine and kise are just side characters, I don’t want people to tag it was ao // kis//e?? when it’s clearly not? That’s just shoving your assumptions onto my work www;
Obviously, I can’t tell people what to tag, so I just avoid drawing them together if I can help it.; But I guess last night someone did the same thing to that particular picture, and I decided to put a note in the captions.
