In her free time, Kiera often trained her pet Kobe. She didn't have much of that, due to the propensity of others in the spiral to beg for her help, but it weighed on her conscience when she denied her small companion the training she needed. Which is where she was now - or would've been, perhaps, if the Spiral had found a grain of sympathy large enough to give her a break.
More often than not, Kiera found herself a victim of circumstance. Not that she'd ever refer to herself as a victim, but the frequency with which she had to compromise and apologize for the actions of others was often, and irritating.
Now was one such instance, Kiera thought bitterly as she observed the chaos four feet below, as her feisty ice starfish harassed what appeared to be an indignant young fire salamander pet.
Whoever this salamander belongs to is not going to be a happy camper. Kiera thought, despite the fact that she was sure the little reptile started it.
Kiera noticed a figure approaching, aggressiveness apparent in their hurried steps that clunked against the cobblestone path of the Pet Pavilion with sharp, insistent clicks.
This ought'a be fun.
