hi I was reading breath of and for the life of me I can’t find a translation of ussta’alurlssrin, what does it mean? Ty, I love your work!

ussta is “my” and alurlssrin is “love” so i just smooshed them together, it might be incorrect tbqhhhhhh drow grammar gives me a headache and i wanted alurlssrin to remain recognizable.

it is one of minthara’s (sadly, i’ve never gotten it to play, neither have friends so i think it’s one of her bugs :( but here is a link to a video of it) romance dialogues. ed greenwood explains the term here.

What does Minthara think of a Seldarine Drow who is Cleric of Eilistraee. Wondering what her thoughts are about Eilistraee.

i dont see anything mentioned in the devnotes about this!! i would think she understands what elistraee means to others’ freedom and healing similarly how she’s able to understand both the temptation of shar and the trap within shar’s creeds, she would understand why elistraee is a savior figure for drow who need her.

what she thinks of that for herself and her reaction to a cleric is up to you!! i dont really like being an authority on how npcs feel abt topics or how they would react to ur oc since i think thats fun for ppl to come up w themselves and who u wanna write!

Is there a story behind Imdhaunae's scar face ?

it’s a magic wound from her sister, ilmra. the reason immy is on the surface world is because her sister & weapons master, hundaer, conspired to kill her and she makes a run for it where she knows they won’t follow her because it’s her only chance. on that same night she’s snatched by the nautilid. she really resents that she is not able to heal it properly due to being in the pod because she’s vain lol

Hello! I love your Imdhaunae and I was wondering how to pronounce her name.

hi!!! that means so much so to me u have no idea ♥ you can pronounce imdhaunae one of two ways:

im (image) + dawn + ay (like say)

or "more properly" as:

im (image) + THawn (th = the, awn = dawn, it's the ذ letter) + ay (like say)

her name means beloved + plague + dancer from the drow naming conventions guide from dragon mag issue 267, page 23!

does avalo dream? does she have recurring images or themes if so? or do they disappear from the edges of memory upon awakening?

avalo is a chronic insomniac, an unrepentant one, rather, because there’s work to do, there is always work to do, why sleep when there’s a sick bed to tend to, there’s another book to read, there’s another poultice to grind? so they don’t sleep, they’ll coax their adenosine receptors into a tight grip and send rushes of hormones to stimulate their brain, and that’s life for them.

if they dream, they’ll dream of nouri and that won’t do. there’s nothing else that will ever haunt them as much as dawn, so they do not sleep.

they’re cool! one of my favorite drow pharaun is from house mizzrym and faen tlabbar has a few fun moments as well so they’re both cool :D

I was wondering if when you play her in game if you ever reclass her? I know in the fics you've written Imdhuanae loses Lolths favor, and be extension her clerical power and I was wondering if you reflect that in game by changing her class or god, and if so to what. thank you for indulging my curiosity and have a wonderful day!

ooooooh, thank you very much for your interest!!!!!!!!! i had a vague notion of reclassing her to warlock once because i thought she would be desperate to regain power especially as she was terrified to die to not having magic to fight effectively, but as i developed her i think she really wants to stop relying on anything but her own strength to achieve her goals because she's so misotheistic by act 3, and angry with everyone trying to tell her what to do.

i play her as a fighter / battle master in act 3! it's fairly simple and straightforward as a class, but her drow house, duskryn, is known for training its fighters exceptionally well so ^^ i thought it suited her while she sorts her brain out.
