((The studying of emotions and why people do things and react the way they do. Ev seeks to understand emotions and the driving forces behind them because he believes that complete control of another being is achieved through their thoughts and driving feelings. Knowing emotions, especially fear, inside and out will help him become better at manipulation (or so he believes).
Ev also pursues the study of dreams since he believes them to be pure manifestations of emotion; wet dreams come from lust, nightmares come from fear, etc.))
