Hello! I just found your blog, and I had a question. I know you shouldn't ask the fae what their name is, but would "What may I call you?" be an acceptable question? Or would that still be the same sort of question? I know for me, my name and what I tell people to call me are two different things, is it a similar situation with the fae?

The Fae Speak:

Asking what you can call them is a perfectly fine way to get something they would allow you to address them by without insult. That would be perfect.

What you can call them by is not the same as requesting their name.

I've noticed it's becoming commonplace for humans to say "I appreciate you" instead of "thank you". Would that be acceptable phrasing when dealing with Fae so long as your intent isn't to get out of any reciprocity?

The Fae Speak:

He says he's answered this one a lot on the blog, already, but he does appreciate and like that humans are moving more toward using active words such as 'I appreciate you,' rather than the closing words of, 'thank you.'

To explain this in short, thank you is a payment for a service or deed. You pay them with your thank you and then you are excused to go on your merry way.

When you're appreciative that continues to go on and doesn't turn the gracious action into the payment of a deal.

Have y'all ever read any fae books or anything? Like.... Can a fae actually take control of a person like in the book and make them do stuff they don't want to do? How does that work? Why would they do that?

The Fae Speak:

The answer is simply, yes. Fae can manipulate the energies around people and influence their thoughts, perceptions, and even movement. Do not get this confused with possession, though, it is not. They are influencing your perceptions where for example a human may not be able to stop dancing until their feet get sore, raw, muscles tear, and the person hasn't eaten or rested in days, but it's not because they actually can't -- it's because to the human dancing, they do not realize what is happening or the time that has passed. What they are experiencing and what is really happening to them are two different things. Fae are master illusionists of perception and sensory experiences.

And to the why would they do that? - For as innumerable of reasons as there are Fae or people on this planet and in other dimensions. Some vague common ones might be simply for amusement. It can be entertaining. Another may be for food and it’s because without the human knowing it, they are hunting. Some Fae eat humans, like Kelpies for example. Some Fae prey on energy itself. Some Fae enjoy blood. Most Fae that frequent around humans, though, are usually more on the ‘amusing’ side of that game. Fae are chaotic beings. They like to play.

Can Fae mark or claim people as theirs?

The Fae Speak:

Yes, if we like something or someone we 'take' it. It's ours. Marking, though, not so much exactly. It's more we claim them ours.

Can one Fae prevent other Fae from distorting a human's senses? Assuming they're inclined to, that is.

The Fae Speak:

Not as in an overall protected seal around them for wherever they go, no, but if another Fae we’re trying something and that other Fae was there, too, .. yes, they can fight with the other Fae, much like anyone would of trying to stop another from invading or hurting someone or something that belongs to them.

Do Fae really hate iron and church bells?

The Fae Speak:

We don't hate iron, we hate church bells.

The Writer Speaks:

I'm going to explain here what he actually really means, because he's being mischievous with his answer here and is playing with your choice of words.

He doesn't hate iron as in the emotion of hating something, iron simple hurts or burns at their 'skin,' and I'm putting skin in parenthesis because not all Fae have skin like we have and that it's a different composite. That's what I'm getting from sensing Atri's emotions on this.

The reverse is for Church Bells. The sound of them does not physically harm them, but they don't like them, not because of pain, but because of what the church stands for and that pisses them off.

Hi,

Odd question, but before the veil went up more solidly, was there debate among creatures about staying or going? Or some overlooked? Essentially I’m thinking of the platypus; by human standards it is quite odd (but adorable) but that could simply be our human close-mindedness.

I’m also assuming another blog where a channeled elf talks about a general veil creating consensus happened at one point is true or plausible.

There was a broad consensus in regards to the veil lifting so to speak between the 'worlds,' but you must know that this veil is only an illusion, for we are right here with Nature at all times. This idea of 'your world,' and 'ours,' is but the same, just you choose to not see it, and we choose to remain unseen - to most. It gives us our privacy and in much regards, the humans lost their graces and privilege to walk with us, at least in clear definition.

Humans went against the code of Nature and respect, moving towards industrialization and their arrogance of leaders over what is not theirs to claim. They ripped the threads. They put up that veil by their own wit of failure to 'see'.

Each Fae is of their own will so long as they follow the rules of their Nature, so each has their own choice in whether or not they want to be seen or 'remain' visible or heard to humans. As of the creatures such as the platypus, no they are not Fae. The veil is not some locked doorway, it is like the rain.

Seamlessly, in most cases, for they are all apart of different aspects of Nature as a whole. The one they follow as to rules, though, is Mother Nature, whom goes by as many names as They do.
