Part of Garen's anger towards Taric is misdirected self-loathing. He blames himself for Taric's misdemeanours against Demacia, thinking that as both Taric's friend and a high ranking soldier cum Captain of the Dauntless Vanguard he of all people should have been able to steer Taric back on to the right path. He doesn't comprehend that it isn't just a case of rebellion and instead of a different calling -- that's not something he personally has experienced before. As much as in most circumstances he can admit 'I have not experienced this and thus I cannot hope to understand it', when it comes to a wavering faith in Demacia if he doesn't understand it, he will push against it.

Sivir has been guilty of playing catch with herself by idly tossing the crossblade and returning it back.

I don’t cross the desert sands often. No need, most of my business keeps me well north. But what I heard months ago, that an entire sand empire rose from the depths, well, makes one curious at the very least. I don’t care for this goddamn world, but I’m going to have to at least be aware of what’s happening to it.
I’m not about to venture south and find these thing south, especially from the obvious source; the returning, self proclaimed emperor Azir. I’ll need someone far more… Modern if you will. I heard of one such woman,a tribe leader who apparently is rumored to hold some kind of kinship with the former mentioned. A descendant? Would make sense, she’s as Shurmian as they come, but a merc nonetheless.
And my curiosities don’t exactly have a price tag for now.
Do the Kinkou practice arranged marriages?
“We do when we see fit to exercise such authority. At the moment, it has not been considered due to our current circumstances, but in the past it was not an uncommon practice. The union of two powerful bloodlines is a strategic choice by family heads to create a peaceful bond in hopes of avoiding potential power struggles within the Kinkou Order.
“If not for the sake of peace, arranged marriages also help to ensure ‘healthy’ heirs. There is a period of courtship in case any problems arise. Usually, it is not an issue. Either way, if the Kinkou Elders will it, it is done.”
“If… that is what is necessary, then, yes. Aka– The Fist of Shadow and the Eye of Twilight… it is not an unexpected union, but it is a duty to be fulfilled for another time though…. ahem.”

“ Listen Sivir. I’m going to be the bigger woman here. Hard to imagine. I know. Don’t bring my wife into this. True, I brought Von into a fight before. For that, I apologize. It was uncouth of me and very crass. But, of all the things I will ask you, it shall be this. Don’t bring Quinn into this. Especially when she still regards you as a friend. Your problem is with me and only me. Got it? Good.”

"My tribe borders the Shurima-Kumungu border on the eastern side of the Great River. I run a large spice trade in the south, and I get my spices from Kumungu and process them by hand. Do not be angered. We take great care to not overharvest, as we have learned to respect and fear the jungle. The trees themself seem to come alive at times. I'm certain I've seen one swallow one of my men. You have no need to worry about us, should we enter your domain. We have no desire to tear down the jungle."
She laughed. “I know you don’t. You have good intentions, Sivir; the spices here are very useful, if I might say so myself.” She tilted her head. “A sustainable business is always the best business. As for the trees… They can get a bit feisty at times.”
