You were talking about how galaxy brained it was of them to use Artagan to get the minute long rest. The scary option was if they couldnt reach him or if he wouldnt help because there was a risk of them being gone for days, weeks or even years! And Keyleth didnt even think about it and it was such a clutch play and i love it!

i am watching talks right now and laura and travis did mention that the feywild time-jumping plan had been on their minds for a couple of weeks at that point but - from a character standpoint it was indeed SUPER clutch and i love keyleth so much for that

In regards to the post about the Thieves guild, i feel like a small unsaid joke about them is that Vetinari pretty much turned them into tax collectors and people are happy to pay because they are somehow more ok with being robbed than they are with paying taxes even when the net result is exactly the same. It's not a big thing but it's a fun way to look at the Thieves guild and how people treat them.

It's true! Given that all the heads of the Guilds answer to Vetinari to some degree (although he lets them believe they're more independent than they are), the Thieves' Guild and all the others are in a way part of the Government. The Thieves are not only like specialized tax collectors (after all, they 'collect money with menaces' and Pratchett joked that's pretty much what taxation is), they're the local police force when it comes to unlicensed theft. Meanwhile the Assassins perform legal murder and come down hard on unlicensed assassination, and the Seamstresses have their own enforcers for violence against their members. Other Guilds require licenses to operate, too, and all of them collect dues. So basically, the Guilds work very nearly identically to government agencies, policing their own spheres and making their own money.

And yeah, it's VERY funny how the citizenry is happy to just pay protection money to the Thieves' Guild to make sure they only get a bit of a bump on the head during their one mugging per year, but they all HATE paying taxes to the point where Vetinari says that Ankh-Morpork, as a state, has little to no money in its coffers.

Well, it’s about these two girls, Gideon and Harrowhark, who are the only young people on their entire planet and hate each other’s guts. But when Harrow gets an invitation to a Necromancer conference that seeks to give it’s attendees the opportunity to become immortal, just like the leaders of the Space Empire they live in, Harrow forces Gideon to be her partner in this endeavour, as she needs someone who can Sword Good, and Gideon is literally the only option. 

Naturally, things do not go as planned at the Necromancer Conference, with our heroes becoming closer as the stories progress. 

TL;DR: Lesbian Necromancers Enemies To Lovers Mystery In Space.

The thing that bugs me the most (among the maaany things that bug me) about that Power level anon is that they seem to think that shounen is a genre wich it isn't?? It's a demographic, one wich i'm pretty sure RWBY isn't actually part of?? They keep saying "shounen shows do this!" and then gives examples of tropes from Toriyama inspired action shows wich RWBY just isn't?? RWBY's roots lie closer to FMA and Soul Eater wich are both slower and more thoughtful, still with kickass fighting.

In fairness I’m also at fault there if that’s the case, I see anime listed as shonen, so I just assumed it is in fact a genre, so I won’t fault that if it is a misconception. The rest though? Yeah nope. Not comparable by almost any metric.

Fun fact: Someone made a "Critical Role Stress Meter" by measuring the ammounts of "Fucks" said in every episode and Episode 88 beats out every other episode by quite a large margin.

mmmmmmm im not surprised, it was Very Stressful & also like, surprisingly so? i don’t think anyone expected it to be That hard of a fight, plus it was a lesson in how much they rely on some of scanlan’s abilities in a pinch
