Sir Galahad had been tracking down this monstrous dragon for days now. Hearing word that the dragon was terrorizing villages, the young squire set out to go slay the beast.

He was told he was foolish for going after such a beast, and was told stories of this horrid monster and how it burned down villages, but that wasn't enough to deter the young knight, if anything, the stories fueled his determination to put an end to its reign of terror.

His fellow knights also told him he was being foolish and he's to not take on this quest as he was still fairly new, Percival even tried to dissuade him from taking this quest, but he ignored the other knights, and only pretended to listen to Percival, before sneaking away once the knights were at rest to take on his quest.

Thanks to a traveler, Galahad had been given directions to the location of the dragon's den, and now here he was, standing just outside the very cave the beast is said to be in.

It sets in for the young knight. He's really about to do this. He's about to go into the belly of the beast, alone.

There's no turning back now. He didn't come all this way for nothing. He goes in.

Using the glow of his psychic powers, he navigated his way through the dark cavern. Galahad was a ways in until he saw an orange light further in.

This was it.

He takes a deep breath, steels himself, then let out a war cry as he and his blade goes charging forward.

Imagine his confusion when he finds no dragon, but he does find a grumpy blue hedgehog that made this place his home. "What? You're no dragon."

You'd think it would still be winter with how cold it got at night in Darkmoor, how fast the sun was to hide away its face, and how long the moon hovered over head. The first thing you learned here was that there was Hunters and the Hunted...didn't matter what your race was nor your bloodline. Anyone could become the Hunted, but the most successful Hunters learned to make the most of the long dark of this place which smelled of moss and dust. Blood soaked the ground here...didn't matter who's. The Normies were fast to guard their homes with garlic strings, silver crosses, and salt at every entrance and window. Like rabbits in their burrows, trembling and reeking of fear.

Not all monsters were as bad as others, some still had honor to their souls. In the Burning Blade Tavern, all sorts gathered together. The foolish alone caused commotions here... Normie and Beast could gather and share their tales of their kills. One such beast never looked the part, given his rose pink quills belied his ferocity in combat. Another damn mongrel's head set on the counter, hideous thing... always only partly turned as if the spell or curse never committed fully. Best leave such mad dogs to the real thing...

"Another one eh?" The old barkeep looked over at the sunken skin and pale eyes of the sick creature's head. "Damn filthy curs... sorry you gotta see these sick dogs, Adam."

"Would be easier if I wasn't the only one after 'em." Adam sighed as he sat down, the bartender taking the kill and tossing it on a box in the back with the rest of the trophies from that night from other hunters. "It's disgraceful... that these ugly mudbloods can still be called weres. Ain't nothing wolf about them, just mad dogs looking like a person."

"And we appreciate you getting rid of em for us." The old goat smiled a bit then patted the counter. "I'll get ya that Bloodborne Whisky for ya."

"Thanks..." He needed a chaos damned drink...

Okay, so maybe blowing up an entire Egg Base in the past isn't the best way to deal with your pent up aggression against your creator. But just because it wasn't the "best" solution doesn't mean it wasn't the most fun.

Shard's standing over the smoldering remains of the factory, way too pleased with himself for the moment for all the destruction he just caused. If Eggy's gonna complain, Shard can just say he was built to destroy things, so he's just doing what he was made for~

It's so nice to point the gun in the direction he wants it to face, though. Cathartic, even.

Though Shard suddenly spots his "little brother" a bit of a ways a way and his grin falters a bit.

"Woah, hey what the heck happened here. This place was blown up when I got here, how weird is that??"

Oh boy, oh god - what the hell just happen? Ebony was just minding his own business then he hears Infinite coming up then kissed him on the Lips of all places.

Now Ebony is just a stunned, confused yet blushing hog standing here dead still trying to piece together what just happen.

“Greetings, little yellow rat. I have overheard you speaking of mints very highly, and as i am built without any mouth, nor tastebuds, i must ask.. what do mints taste like. From my discoveries, they do not sound nice for a lifeform to consume daily. Are you secretly some strong creature we’ve been underestimating?”

The robot stares at you. Waiting an awnser with a dead serious look. But then again it always looks like that.

“Ignoring the rat comment, let me find the best way to describe it to you. When certain things are ‘hot spicy’ in the way that it feels like burning, mints are the opposite with ‘cool spicy’ which make your mouth feel colder! Of course, it’s not just spicy. It’s described as refreshing because of it’s cooler effect, and mint candies are basically sweet candies complimented with the sharp, fresh, taste of mint. Smells wonderful, too. Either way you’ve been underestimating me, and then you keep doing it! Pretty sure the mint thing shouldn’t change that.”

Even from his vantage point way up in the sky, Mephiles couldn’t deduce what was on the ground emitting so much energy, a unique energy that he was quite keen to know more about despite its proximity to… well, he wasn’t sure — some sort of establishment. Military, perhaps? He wasn’t sure.

Uneasy, he tilted downward. The forest that surrounded the area was perfect to dive into, hiding his approach from all but the keenest. A few flaps of his wings and he placed his feet on the ground, coming to a stop. He hadn’t even finished standing upright when he looked past the trees and found another set of eyes and froze.
