8: Paperback or hardcover? Why?

I have mostly paperbacks but my preference isn’t that strong. It’s mostly because I really started reading books when I was travelling by train every day and taking paperbacks with me in my bag is just so much easier than hardcovers. I don’t find hardcovers that much nicer either, so to stay consistent I still mostly buy paperbacks.

40: Name one of your favorite books from your teenage years

Well to be honest I didn’t use to read that much in my teenage years, so my pool to choose from is rather small. Regardless, I have to choose one of the Harry Potter books because those were really the first books I read for pleasure rather than school and I loooooooved them (and still do). It’s pretty much impossible for me to choose between them but I think I’ll say Prisoner of Azkaban because I have a particular fondness for that one.

42: Which was the best book you had to read in school?

That one probably has to go to ‘De Engelenmaker’ or ‘The Angel Maker’ in English. It’s an originally Dutch book about a genetic scientist that tries to unlock the secret to immortality in a rather grisly way. It’s been years since I’ve read it so I don’t remember that much more of it (heck I might not even like it anymore if I were to reread it) but I do remember that I read it all in pretty much one night, which is quite something for me (especially back then before I really started getting into reading).

Average Hours Of Sleep: Probably around 7-8 hours.

Number Of Blankets I Sleep Under: One, but it’s a 4-seasons blanket, so iGuess you could say it’s technically two blankets in one.

Favourite Fictional Characters: I don’t know why but I rarely obsess over individual characters very much (usually it’s the series as a whole). I think the only one that comes close to being a favourtie is Garrus Vakarian from Mass Effect. Oh, and a relatively recent favourite is Papyrus from Undertale.

Favourite Books: Well I only really started getting into books last year or so, but from that time I think I enjoyed reading the Throne of Glass series the most (thanks @vizutheshaman). Aside from that, Harry Potter will probably be something I can never quite get over.

Favourite Bands: Although I don’t listen to a lot of music from specific bands anymore, I used to be a huge fan of Iron Maiden and Rhapsody (of Fire). Lately I’ve been listening a lot to Miracle of Sound, but I guess that’s not technically a band :P Dream Job: I don’t really know to be honest, still figuring that one out. I’ll probably end up working in something like software development (maybe games) as that’s what my study’s about and I like doing it, but I’m not sure about a specific job or something.

What Am I Wearing Right Now: Blue jeans, a white shirt with a weird tree-thingie print on it (still don’t know what it actually is) and a zipped open blue hoodie over it. Hopefully switching to my pajamas shortly though.

Who Made You Join Tumblr: Once again, @fpwoper. I don’t exactly know how it went, but she was a huge tumblr-er (?) and I decided to give it a try as well. And now here we are.

Do You Get Asks Daily: Nope. I’m horrible at responding anyway so I’ve only got myself to blame for that.

Why Did You Choose Your URL: Somewhere in my second year of high school, we had a conversation about middle names. My second name is Josephus, which somebody thought sounded a lot like Yo-zee-vis (which translates to “yo sea fish”) and back then we thought that was very funny. When I had to pick usernames and stuff after that I decided to start using Jozeevis (instead of the old lars0705, you can guess why), including for my tumblr. I still use it to this day for any other account as well, as it’s recognizably me and pretty much never taken (except on Twitter).

Anubis: How do you feel about death?

Well, I think it sucks, because you can’t do anything fun once your dead and it will make people cry. Most things that stop fun things from happening and make people cry suck, so yeah, so does death.

Arawn: What is the most terrifying thing you’ve ever done?

I have absolutely no idea. I don't think my life has really been that terrifying. I guess it kind of depends on what you see as terrifying, because sure I've been afraid or anxious to do things in my life (like... a lot), but I don't think I've ever been genuinely terrified. And if I ever had to do something I thought at the time was absolutely terrifying it apparently wasn't terrifying enough to make a really big impact XD

Hœnir: Are you a silent or talkative person?

That totally depends on who I’m with and how well I know them. If I’m around a group of friends I’ll be really talkative (and pretty loud at that), but when I’m with people I don’t or barely know, well I mostly just stay silent and kind of nod along with what everyone says, but I don’t nearly talk as much as when I’m with friends.

Jupiter: Would people say that you are intimidating or fairly approachable?

I don’t know really. I mean, I’m fairly tall, which might be intimidating to some people. I talk pretty loudly too (at least when I’m with friends, as I just said) so that might be intimidating too. And when other people do talk to me I’m too shy to really talk myself, which could be mistaken for rudeness. Furthermore I’m also fairly sarcastic by heart. So… uhm… yeah… I’m afraid I look pretty intimidating to people that don’t know me very well XD

1. What house will you be in?

Well, I definitely don’t have enough ambition or cunning to be in Slytherin. I’m not brave or daring enough to be in Gryffindor, that’s for sure. It’d probably be Hufflepuff. I mean, I could see myself being in Ravenclaw, but I don’t think being clever or witty is my strongest point, while loyalty and honesty are big things for me. So yeah, probably Huffelpuff (that’s also what Pottermore told me by the way).

5. What do you think you’ll be doing right now?

Well… I believe I’m actually too old for Hogwarts, so unless I had to do a year twice (which I don’t hope I had to) I really wouldn’t have any idea of what I’d be doing right now. In the case that I was still in school I’d probably be having either morning lessons or lunch, I don’t know the schedule that well.

18. Do you think you’ll get a lot of detention? For what reason/s?

Probably not. I mean, I didn’t get much (or any) detention in muggle high school, so I don’t think being in the wizarding world would change that very much.

20. Will you be supportive of your house’s quidditch team?

Ehh, I don’t know. I probably wouldn’t care much about it, but I’d be supportive of them nonetheless. Especially if people I knew pretty well were on the team.

24. Which part of the castle will be your favorite?

Probably either the astronomy tower or the Hufflepuff common room. I mean, the sight on the astronomy tower (especially when it’s dark) would probably be absolutely amazing. But it’s a bloody long climb to get there, and in the common room I can just talk with friends or chill and it’s a lot easier to get there. So yeah, it’d probably depend on how active I was feeling XD

34. If you were a pure-blood, would you take interest in reading muggle literature?

Probably. I mean, even if I was used to magic, that wouldn’t mean people without magic wouldn’t be able to make worthwhile literature. I’d at the very least I’d take an interest in them, but I do think I’d actually like it too.

41. What classes will you take for n.e.w.t.s?

13. Would you consider studying in another wizarding school?

I would, yes, but since Hogwarts is in Scotland, which is totally awesome and also pretty close to home, I’d guess considering others wouldn’t make that much difference in the end. But ah well, you never know.

23. Will you subscribe to the daily prophet or the quibbler or other wizarding world media?

Ehh, I don’t know. I mean, I’m not someone who enjoys reading the paper everyday, and I don’t think living in a wizarding world with wizard media will change that very much.

25. When sleeping in your dormitory, will your four-poster bed’s curtains be drawn or closed?

That’s… a good question. I don’t think I’d think too much about it. In general though, I’d probably be too lazy to close them every time XD

28. Will you be curious enough to try and explore the whole castle, even if you know you can get in trouble for visiting some parts of it?

Most definitely not. I might be curious but since I don’t know much about the wizarding world (or if I did even more so) I’d be too scared of whatever I think might be there to let my curiosity win that battle.

41. What classes will you take for n.e.w.t.s?

Well, that'd depend entirely on my o.w.l.s wouldn't it? And on whatever the teachers set as the threshold. I do think(/hope) I'd have a fairly good chance at getting Astronomy, and if so I would certainly continue with that. Maybe Charms too, but I have no idea what to expect from that, but hey if I made it I'd probably continue with that too. I don't know what choice subjects I would take, but I think Arithmancy and Muggle studies. Arithmancy I doubt I will continue much on, unless I found it really interesting, but Muggle Studies might be a thing. For all the other subjects it'd depend entirely on if I had enough for the o.w.l. and if I actually like the subject or not if I wanted to take the n.e.w.t ^^

Macau, Tibet

Macau: What is your favourite festival or celebration?

"We love the king"-day. Uhm… I mean… it’s probably New Year. Every holiday has its up- and downsides (and yes I know you said festival or celebration but I’m just going to go with holidays because I really don’t do much other celebration), but I think New Year for me has the least downsides. Sinterklaas and Christmas are a lot of fun but buying presents and stuff (and don’t even get me started on putting up a tree) can be really stressful, and that creates a lot of tension between my family and I absolutely hate that. That’s the case with most other holidays too, although in lesser degrees, but with New Year there’s almost none of that, which is why I love it. And besides, even though a new year is really just a number it’s also a time to look back upon the things you’ve done this year and well… this year was absolutely awesome for me, so I kind of look forward to the next one ^^

Tibet: What do you value most?

You know, I had this question once, and I wrote a pretty big answer, which I’m not going to repeat because it was kiiiiiiiiiind of private. But yeah, the general answer is just the same. What I value the most is friendship, because without all my awesome friends, this year (and the years before that and hopefully the coming years too) wouldn’t have been nearly as awesome as they were now.

I really, really, reaaaaaally want to thank all of my friends, whether I’ve known you for years or for a couple of months, whether we’ve been through a lot or just hang out with each other, whether you granted me comfort in times of need or you can just put a smile on my face, I want to thank every single one of you. Because you guys are awesome, and don’t you dare ever forget that.
