Ask for deaf/hoh/fluent in ASL ppl, what do you do if you can’t use both your hands and need to sign something that needs two hands? Or if you have an amputated arm or something?

Do you think you'd be able to make that ASL packet into a downloadable pdf?
Ya! Here ya go! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DBpPWVUfW6fEGtDXa4dG873je7MusNAt/view?usp=sharing
Yo!!! Are you also working to become an ASL interpreter? Also how long have you known/been learning ASL? I’ve only been learning ASL for about two years now.
I am :D
I’ve actually only been learning ASL since last September so my journey to becoming an interpreter is still a long ways away lol.
The program I’m taking now, American Sign Language and Deaf Studies, is a 1-year college program where they’re teaching us through immersion. Once I’m done this program in April, I have to do a 4-year bachelor of interpretation program, but it’s such a competitive program, I don’t know if I’ll ever even be accepted to it, my dude. it’s the only program of its kind in my province too, so i don’t have any other options either :/ wish me luck ^^
Okay, so if their any programs (that are free) that can teach people ASL. I want to learn before it's too late since my hearing is not getting any better and I want to learn before hand. Got any programs that teach for free?
Yeah! These guys are pretty good:https://www.startasl.com/free-sign-language-asl1
There’s also LifePrint, but it’s more of a dictionary than a class.

Hope those help!
So, my stepdaughter has expressed interest in learning ASL (shes 6, and we’re both hearing.) I thought it would be fun to teach her how to sign things she likes to pique her interest. Are there signs for minecraft? Legos? Fairies? Our fave, She Ra? Do the princesses have name signs? Thank you!! :)
Unfortunately a lot of brands don’t have signs associated with them. You need to fingerspell them. But you can make compound signs, in some cases! Here’s my take on Minecraft.MINE (as in, dig for minerals)
MINECRAFT
Here I’ve combined MINE (dig) with MAKE (as in craft, or create)
Legos do not have a sign >: L-E-G-O-S.
Fairy
The princesses, as far as I know, do not have official name signs. My girlfriend is asleep right now and there are special rules around name signs, so I can’t give you a definitive answer there yet. (in the meantime you and your step daughter are free to invent some!)So the following aren’t really name signs, per se, but they are how my girlfriend and I refer to some of the characters.
SHE-RA(Girl, R-A)
CATRA(Cat, R-A)
…And this would be a great name for Adora (Because it’s an A combined with “cute” (get it…Adorable…) but it’s already the sign for ICE CREAM SO IDK maybe it can be both?????????? (We have a friend whose name sign is pokemon….(...@gritandoengay ....) there are no rules……..do what you want…idk)
ADORA (….or ice cream)
(Make an A, then stroke your chin twice)
Hi this is the anon that asked about asl/pse! Thank you so much for answering me, and sorry I'm seeing it a bit late! Yes, if you wouldn't mind posting the signs for a literal glass ceiling, that'd be AMAZING. I do know the signs for GLASS and CEILING individually, but idk if there's a different sign to describe a ceiling of glass or if you would just do both signs, so showing me would be extremely helpful. THANK YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!
OK so glass ceiling here:https://www.handspeak.com/word/search/index.php?id=2609
My girlfriend says:
So take that with a grain of salt.
the PSE way to say glass ceiling:GLASS:
CEILING:
Is there a difference in how to sign "date" and "meet"? It looks the same to me and I really don't want to accidentally say "nice to date you" to someone 😩
LMAO I dont think someone who is fluent in ASL would make that mistake BUT for the record, DATE is more of a D shape. MEET your fist is closed. MEET
DATE
Hi! You may not be the right person to ask, so sorry if that's the case. I'm attempting to learn asl/pse right now, but I have a question. How would you say "glass ceiling" in asl? Not like an actual ceiling made of glass, but like the concept of the glass ceiling? I found a sign for it on handspeak, but I was told before that that's not a reliable site for learning signs, so I'm not sure if it's correct. Thank you for answering and for your time! Have a great day
I would just say it literally. glass ceiling
I don't know if there's a specific sign for the concept. -Britt
If you want the sign for literal glass ceiling, let me know and I'll post it tomorrow. Hope this helped! -Morgan
