I can finally enjoy the Turgut x Aslihan train but only because her laugh in the face of adversity and hostility is infectious and because she and Turgut are friends AND lovers. Like they'd be great as a platonic set of rulers too. They respect each other more as people who know their duty than as romantic partners, which is the reason they've come to like each other and precisely why it makes them GREAT together. But I'm not gonna lie, it took some warming up for me to enjoy them as a couple. Now?? Sparks.

Turgut...I no longer am a fan? Was not expecting this from him? How dare he? Aslihan did not deserve that! Boo. Shame on Turgut. He is still cool in other aspects, but I just...this episode made him lose most of the respect I had for him, just his tone and attitude after taking on leadership. Gotta side with Bamsi.

I will be forever salty about the fact that we never got to see Turgut cook something for Aslihan like imagine how cute omg just cooking together and vibing.

This show can be so mid but when Aslihan and Turgut thought they'd never see each other again and she told him "Well done, my brave Sir" just before he was about to be executed, ... I cried real tears
