Nezha achieving his fully formed form from a pure profound grief from the loss his mother, handing her to his father and then grasping onto Ao Bing's hand,,, his final form is defined by the people he loves and who have loved him, and even if his mother isn't there to see it, she is the reason he became his fully realized self. This contrasted to his true form in the first film where his full form was fully out of control, whereas now his true form is him protecting those he loves,, idk, I think there's something quite poetic about that. But I may just be too drunk and autistic for this film

Dante Alighieri the man of all time

He wrote a book that is both a love letter to a woman who was not his wife and his hometown, that was about his metaphorical jorney of overcoming the grief of being exiled from his hometown, a political hitpiece against the church and the people who got him exiled, a petty revenge letter to everyone who even slightly pissed him off, and like the second most well known bible fanfiction only rivaled by Paradise Lost.

And also he writes himself being carried around by Publius Vergilius Maro for literally no fucking reason.

Like he really wrote that. And it's one of the most popular depictions of hell ever. People are still re-interperting his work and basing their own works off of his. And you won't even understand half of it unless you're really into Italian politics from 700 years ago. And that doesn't even matter because the book is just so good. Like it is that good. It's so great to read. I own three versions. I've read them all. Several times.

I have a rlly long and opinonated analysis on dmc4 from a transfeminist perspective, which has led me to the conclusion that the game is in fact a metaphor for Nero being a transwoman. I will elaborate at great length one day

Lmk s5 suffers detrimentally from the lack of specials and the switch in animation studios certainly doesn't help. Going from a hand drawn show to very clearly lower quality puppet animation, and with the season's entire plot being incredibly rushed. It almost feels like the first few episodes were already in production when suddenly they're hit w the info that they won't be getting specials this season and they have to cram the entire story. Listen, I just think this could've been solved by not making Li Jing an antagonist. I love Nezha content as much as the next person and seeing Li Jing made me very happy but also GODDD does it take up a lot from a season that struggles with it's pacing far more than all the previous ones. Even if that means s5 won't have a clear overarching villian until the final few episodes, that should be fine, s1-2 were almost fully episodic, s3 was the first properly serialised season and even then there were episodic elements to s3-4. Idk, I just feel like balancing out Li Jing and the celestial realm's hunt for the gang with collecting the stones simultainously works for its detriment. But again, I mostly think that's because of the lack of special episodes that the other seasons had. If they'd gotten specials they could've put all the stuff at the end with the pillar and that goodamn snake in those and yk,, let the main plot breathe.

Just a thought that popped into my head, very rambly and incoherent sorry about that, I just find it disappointing that what is likely lmk's final season was such a drop in quality both in writing and animation.
