it bothers me when someone brings up misogyny in shounen anime and people shrug it off with "its designed for teenage boys, what can you expect." like well. idk i think its actually pretty important that shows for teenage boys are normal about women. i mean i think all media should be normal about women but teenagers are impressionable i think we could put a little bit of feminism in the teenage boy shows. it might do some good. you never know.

Have any of the medicine sellers ever actually sold a single piece of medicine from those boxes. They usually just do completely unrelated stuff like build lightbombs or make poisonous aromas, but that doesn't get them any money. They just got scales and porn and a sword in that box. These bum ass losers beating up mononokes when they should be on the grindset contributing to the economy and selling medicine

This brings me to another question. Why, exactly, do they exorcise the Mononoke? Do they get paid? Is this some kind of ancient duty of theirs? Or are they literally just vessels for their swords that walk around with no other purpose or proper free will?
