8 for Eris, 12 <3
Thank you for the asks @buffy-vanserra 😍✨ And for creating this amazing game in the first place!
I’ve already answered 8 for Eris, so I’ll skip this one, but I’ll add that I love the idea you floated at some point about Azriel and Eris having matching resinous scents. I totally think they’d be the perfect combo (I’ve tried recreating it by coupling scented candles, lmao. Don’t judge me.)
12. What was the Lady of Autumn’s family like? What was her relationship with her sisters like?
Ah, I have this HC that she lost her mother young. Perhaps a childbirth that went horribly wrong? This could explain why we only hear about her having sisters. (In a Court like Autumn, I imagine male heirs are highly valued.)
In my head, her father was an honourable male; stoic and concerned with duty and integrity, but endlessly fond of his daughters.
LoA is the youngest, and I imagine she was a bit of a dreamy, adventurous child. She’d come back come with her knees scraped up and her hair and clothes in disarray after spending hours in the forest alone.
Baela is the middle child. She was feisty and very opinionated from the start. In my longfic ASOBAL, she’s also queer. Eris, who’s inherited one of her properties, tells Azriel that she was renowned for her beauty, but headstrong, and that she refused her father’s attempts at arranging a betrothal time and time again, finding different reasons each time. He also says that after her death, there were rumours about her sexuality, which (TW for severe homophobia) prevented her from getting a proper burial. Her story is very sad and she means a lot to me.
Their eldest sister (no name yet) was the mother figure; she took care of her younger sisters when their mother died, and was the most practical and realistic of them.
I think the three of them were very close—as suggested by how they made LoA run for safety while staying behind themselves. And I think that LoA grieves them tremendously.
On that note, I HC that her eldest sister’s children are estranged from her. Their father was severely traumatised in the War, and after the loss of his wife (or maybe his even mate?!👀) he became cold and cruel. His sons, much like LoA’s own children, paid the price. She can barely see her sisters’ features in their faces anymore, and it pains her how callous they’ve become😭
Sorry, this got angsty. I need to stop, otherwise I’ll keep going.
