Elaine is changing the game because she is catering to not just 1, but 2 different kinds of Naturals: ones with high and low porosity hair. I personally have low porosity hair so my hair doesn't retain moisture well. This is due to my hair cuticles being closed. My regimen always involves heat in some way to help open my cuticles to help products absorb better into my hair. This line is also perfect if you are protein sensitive. None of the products in this line contain protein. I was blessed with the opportunity to try her entire low porosity collection. I used each product in the collection for my wash day yesterday and will be reviewing them in the order that I used them. First Step: Low porosity hair is more prone to product buildup. Just co-washing is not going to cut it. This Clarifying shampoo was great. It's consistency is very runny but once this bad boy hit my scalp it went into action. A little goes a long way with this shampoo. It had a great lather and it removed any trace of product buildup I had from the previous week. Big thumbs up for this gem👍🏽 ----- step two: This mask contains bentonite clay, which hydrates, softens, and draws out impurities and toxins from the hair. With low porosity hair heat is our friend. I wet my hair and applied this mask. It had great spreadability and it smelled heavenly. After I distributed this evenly through out my hair, I put a plastic bag over my head, followed with a warm towel to deeply penetrate my strands and to let the ingredients fully absorb. I left it on for 30 minutes. After I rinsed, my hair felt a little stripped but very soft.
