Auridon yarns makes some super cute assigned pooling yarns and patterns. I'm very fond. The strawberries and pumpkins I'd seen before, but look at these rainbows :3
Some of my friends can do really cool things with yarn and I’m proudly presenting a Guest Blog written by my dear friend Psychiaknits. Enjoy
A yarn adventure (yarndventure)
I got some pooling yarn and wanted to try out assigned pooling. I was also curious about triangular construction in the round. So I knit a triangle in the round. Findings:
This does not lay flat. Maybe it would with some rigorous blockong
The triangle shape is pretty good
Assigned pooling is very fun. Good balance between mindless and mindful
However I haven't found anything I could knit that I would want to wear. This pattern in particular is fun but throws off the gauge and is too airy for anything you'd want to be warm, like a hat.
I like the colourway; it reminds me of the disability pride flag. So I would actually like to knit something with it but idk what. 388 metres of fingering weight yarn but my gauge here was 21 stitches/10 cm
this was just a very large test to see how i want this yarn to work/the gradient/getting a feel for this stitch but…. bahhhhh its gonna be so good
ehehehehe

anyone tried assigned pooling knitting before? just started a project of it this week and i am already obsessed, just want to get to the next pool so i knit and knit and knit and all of a sudden 1.5 hrs have gone by. highly recommend
I’m trying assigned pooling for the first time AND ITS SO PRETTY!!!
there are FLOWERS on my knitting!!!!
There really needs to be more assigned pooling patterns for crochet. My LYS has gotten a lot of assigned pooling yarn from Baah and I have been really itching to create my own patterns. Right now I see nothing but shawls and most of them use popcorn stitches. I am surprised there isn’t any using spike stitch clusters or anything like that yet.
And when I mean assigned pooling I don’t mean planned pooling which is different
