And asked to use something we use on a daily basis to create a metaphor of the object, so I used the series as the hair of the girl, and ear Knzarh earrings, and so on .and used the love of sunflower hair of the boy and Koaqrat ear and shaved girl .

I enjoyed a lot and I accomplished this task.

The Loop: blu_00

At home I have two chihuahuas, one is very timid and calm (her name is Gigi) and another that is a perplexing range of emotions and energy, her name is Blu. In reality, I find that how Blu acts is a reflection of my own emotional state. Though her energy waxes and wanes at different paces than my own, she always matches my “moods” for each and every day. But I began to think about how dogs do not process emotion the same way we do (no easy way to really test this) and a lot of the time we are anthropomorphizing them before thinking about how easily they can mimic our own behavior. This simple intrusive thought that came to me at 2:00 AM led me into a downward spiral that thankfully ended with a decent amount of rest for the next morning. In personal discourse, I found it interesting to think that in the 3 years that my dog has been inhabiting the earth she has known me for all but a couple of months. Since a very early stage of her growth she was able to pick up on my own habits and figure out my routines. Her whole life revolves around this one central being who is her caretaker and source of entertainment. This being sees himself within her own actions and equates that to an understanding of human emotion when in actuality it can just be a minor form of mimicry. In short, Blu likes to bark at the neighbors while they are walking down the hall and I find that to be her only negative quality.

I am absolutely overjoyed to be creating my first assignment! I have already received several submissions from people about Earth things that make them happy without even having to ask so I think we should continue with the theme they have determined. First Assignment

Hello all! Registered students will be recieving this message in PM as well but seeing as to how this is the first assignment I thought I would give everyone a taste of what is involved! The first assignment: Write a two paragraph response regarding the bare-bones functionality of magic as an expression of manifestation and as a form of energy manipulation. Feel free to reference cultural and or spiritual practices to embellish your explanation so long as it takes a mainly metaphysical/mechincs themed path. -a paragraph should be 7-9 sentences -there is no due date -feel free to use visual references Excited to see the responses y'all give!! -XIV

Assignment #1: Biographical Blog Post with Images

This blog is being run by Sophia (she/her/elle), a 21-year-old English student currently enrolled in a Fundamentals of Digital Literacy course. As one of the requirements of the course is starting a blog, she's decided to stick with the platform she's the most familiar with: Tumblr.

Here is her self-portrait! The line art was made using a ReMarkable tablet, and she coloured it using Clip Studio Paint's mobile app.

When she's not busy with being a full-time University student, Sophia can be found reading/writing fanfiction, doodling, thinking about her D&D character Aurelius, playing video games, and watching long-form YouTube content. A personal favourite YouTuber of hers is Tahlia, who also goes by tahliaisnotcool. Tahlia loves to delve into both niche and mainstream topics based on pop culture and the internet. Sophia thinks her videos feel like Facetiming a very talkative friend, and they make for great background listening while doodling or commuting.

Anyway, speaking of D&D characters, here's some art of Aurelius that she commissioned from Viktor on VGen back in April of this year. He's a Drow Barbarian. Isn't he handsome?

Lowkey just realised the platformer I was conceptualising is 2D portal with a twist. This isn’t a bad thing and I still think it could be interesting but I’m now going to actively try and differentiate it. The main inspiration for the game was Bokura which I’ll also have to avoid copying.
