Yeah it sucks and a lot of us were depending on the email option because we won't have to go in. He said it should be signed in before 4pm, so maybe the drop box wouldn't be an option. I'm going to ask him about how to go about Handing it in April 3rd. Thank you.

Hello. I'm in a music course. We have an assignment due April 3rd. Originally, we could email the prof before 6pm on Friday the 3rd or submit it to the music department. Now he made an announcement that he wants no email, hand it into the music department before 4pm- due April 3rd. But isn't the music department closed this Friday? Like I can't hand in that assignment tomorrow. What to do?

No it’s not closed Friday (or shouldn’t be) because Good Friday has been moved to April 13 so everything on campus will still be open.

You can email your professor or call the music department to confirm.

So it seems like I was utterly confused and had to have a talk with the admins for some clarification about Good Friday. 

Okay so, on Good Friday the university is closed, which you are correct about - HOWEVER, most drop boxes are usually located outside the course department so you should still be able to access them and hand in your assignment. It just sucks that you’ll have to go all the way to York to hand it in though. 

I would recommend you ask your professor to double check about the drop box dilemma.
