and hey, if you think about it, the Buck and Eddie story is just a series of assumptions stacked on top of each other. Both correct and incorrect depending on the health of their relationship at the time. assuming Eddie's there to take his place, assuming that Buck is setting him up, assuming that Maddie was talking about Eddie, assuming Eddie's divorced, assuming Chris was safe with Buck during the tsunami, assuming that Eddie didn't need him during the lawsuit, accusing the others of assuming Eddie is dead, assuming Buck wouldn't refuse Christopher, assuming it would be better if he had been shot, assuming the team would be better off without him (both), assuming that he can pull up his weight, assuming Eddie's taking him to something illegal, assuming Eddie doesn't really see him, assuming Eddie is replacing him with Tommy, assuming that it's Tommy he has feelings for, assuming Buck is asking him to choose between his son and him, assuming Eddie thinks the move is nothing, assuming Eddie is doing okay post-Bobby, assuming Buck would make the El Paso job about him, assuming he went to the airport and left without saying goodbye, assuming Buck needed him at the building collapse, assuming Eddie is drifting, assuming Eddie wants to hook up with women, assuming he needed to FIX the airport issue, assuming Eddie needs him to fix it instead of step into it, assuming Buck would be next to him in the hospital, assuming Eddie would look for him, assuming Eddie wouldn't figure it out, assuming Eddie didn't hurt anyone in the hunt for him, assuming Eddie could remind Buck of who he is.
