aaaaa I just saw a callout post on my dash where someone had some unpopular (but relatively mellow) opinions about trans / gender identity and the op tagged it as "violent transmisogyny". Apparently having a different opinion on things is now an act of violence

People do it because they want to make it seem like a group is being oppressed or that the oppression a group faces is worse than it is. If less violence happens then the logic is to broaden what violence means in order to make progress seem less significant. Which is sad because every day that a person lives a free and open life free from violence is a day we should be happy about the progress we have made, not be upset that we have less instances of violence to be angry about.
