Arranged Marriage Au|| Kida and Tzekel Khan
Kida practically ran to her room, slamming the door shut on the bewildered servant's face and diving under the covers of her bed. She'd have to go back and apologize later, but at the moment, she couldn't care less. The only thought running through her head was Marriage. Over and over again it rang in her mind, a mantra only she could hear. Kida wasn't one for public displays, but she couldn't stop her outburst. Even those most practiced in hiding their emotions would not have been able to stay calm. How could they, when their whole life had been decided in a split second?
Pulling the blankets closer to her quivering body, Kida allowed a tear to slid down her cheek. How could he? How could he just give me away like that? She felt betrayed to say the least. True, she was old enough for marriage, but she never would have expected her father to arrange one for her. Kida had always figured she'd marry one of her warriors, and she'd always had one in mind, but now that had all gone to waste.
Tzekel Khan was his name. The man she was to marry, and the term "man" was used loosely. He was one of the high ranking council members, her father's most trusted. Yeah, so trusted, he gave his only daughter. She thought angrily. In reality, Kida would not be as mad had her father spoken to her about this. He knew she would do anything for the well-being of Atlantis. But this was ridiculous. He wasn't even close to her age, never mind he was rude, ugly, and creepy.
Kida was pulled out of her rage filled thoughts by at knock at her door. "Go. Away." She said, her voice so poisonous it could have taken out an elephant. Kida whipped the covers off her body, ready to kill whoever was dumb enough to ignore her orders, as she watched the door slowly open.
