Astor Hair. One of the greatest places ever. It’s an experience. I used to get cuts here in the late 90’s all the way through like 2013 I think. Then I married a hairstylist so... 🙂. I remember one time I had to get to a show and I was running late but needed to get cleaned up, so I stopped in and told homeboy (so mad that I don’t remember who it was) that I was in a jam and he was like “I got you”. He cut my hair in literally like 3 minutes. I was in shock. I mean it was kinda scary with scissors and clippers moving so fast but it was an amazing cut. I’ll never forget that. On a typical day Alex was my guy - down the stairs and to the right at the wall👌🏼. And that feeling of walking out of that crazy basement, emerging back into the city like a whole new person, was awesome. I’m so happy it’s here to stay. Anyway @newyorknico and @michaelsaviello are holding a contest to create a new sign to replace the now retired iconic sign of @astorplacehairstylists. I had this idea in my head. Drew it. And now here it is. #astorsignchallenge #nyc #icon #moneymakingmanhattan #tellhimfadethesidesletitwolfontop (at Brooklyn, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CISVMb2Dy5s/?igshid=12mbhwtwbe0bo
