The feathers left behind and the angry clucking accented the silhouette hopping away in the distance, dust kicking up behind it.

    “I’ve been feeling weird lately.” Hunk wasn’t sure who to get with this information. At first, he thought it was his anxiety that was acting up. Yet, it continued to worsen. He could have sworn his eyes glowed on several occasions and he swore things that were there one minute and the next, nothing. All he knew is that it started when they left the quintessence field, "I think I'm just tired. Maybe, I don't know? I keep seeing things."

She was everything he wasn’t. Kind, gentle. It was off putting at first, every alarm bell going off in his head, but once he realized it was an act, it became addicting. Once she warmed up to him, finally accepted him as an ally, he sought her out at every turn. Just to get those gentle eyes to look at him, and her intelligence only made her more alluring. 

It was maddening to be away, while such a beautiful soul and brilliant mind were working on his greatest ambition - soon to be his greatest achievement. 

Returning was like a breathe of fresh air as he gazed upon his work and his partner. 

“I should have the afternoon off,” he spoke softly so as not to disturb the calm atmosphere. “I would offer to help, but you seem to be doing just fine.”

    :”Is he going to be okay? I mean--- I know you healed Lance and all. But, I’m worried. That shock and that scream.” Hunk shuddered. Lance’s scream kept ringing his ears. He never heard him cry out like that before and it was haunting him, “Are you going to alright too?”
