oh, steven. how do you get yourself into such crazy predicaments ?

this is certainly not where he had meant to warp -- not by a landslide. he must have messed up his coordination when frantically trying to play catch-up with the gems ( oh, they’d warped off so fast ! ) and now he’s here... lost. he’d no idea the warp stream even carried him here; he doesn’t remember EVER visiting this place. but now he’s in the woods... alone.

❝ uh... garnet ? amethyst ? ❞ he calls out. ❝ pearl ? ❞ ---- who knows, maybe this IS where they are ! it wouldn’t be the first time they whisked themselves away to some unknown area. with his hand firmly clutching the outline of his gem through his shirt as if it’s any solace from the wilderness, he surveys the terrain. the gems have to be somewhere. he’s growing more and more concerned when suddenly a glimpse of blue and white catches his eye between the trees, and --

like there would be a next time after this. granny was gonna have her skin on a STICK for running off like this once she realized webbigail’s absence. she curses herself for not having been smarter in the heat of the moment ( -- in the heat of ADVENTURE ) after all she’d been taught.

slight fear tingles down her spine , eyeing the dark forest around her warily. there are noises all around her , some of which she can’t tell are just harmless animals or dangerous foes ( okay she might be reading to many novels ... ). but one particular rustling noise nears her more and more , too fast to be just a SQUIRREL. in preparation to defend herself she slips her hand around the sword encased its sheath on her back.
