Cancer Ascendant
The most emotional rising sign in my opinion.
Cancer Ascendants are what I consider to be the divine mothers of the zodiac. Even if you're a male/masculine-presenting person, there is an innate maternal power within that is palpable. They're known to be nurturing, intuitive, sentimental, and very protective of their loved ones. They have an exceptional ability to provide what others need but dare not speak out loud. They do not hesitate to express when something is very off-putting to them and it triggers their emotional state. They are the daughters and sons of the moon, always flowing with the emotional constant of life.
Leo in the 2nd House makes for a very confident person. They hold themselves and others to a high standard because they know they're capable of standing on business. They know they can deliver what they expect themselves to be because they desire it so badly. With Leo ruling the heart and placed in the house of self-worth and values, it's no wonder that they have that ability. They can see themselves as the royalty they are, knowing how to be passionate yet graceful, a duality not many can maintain.
Virgo in the 3rd House makes for someone to be very analytical, and minimalist while engaging in their mental processes. They may have grown up in an area in which communication (especially assertive communication) have been prevalent with the intent of improving or fixing. The early upbringing may have also incorporated strong themes of discipline and maintaining a schedule or routine. This routine helped to develop their mental processes and analytical skills as it emphasized focus on the nervous system. They may have also been known for being in an area that reflected minimalism--a common aesthetic associated with the Virgo archetype.
Libra in the 4th House emphasizes an upbringing that placed importance on fairness and balance. The native could have parents that always were very social and aided in making sure the native has a voice. This placement can contribute to the family-oriented nature of Cancer Ascendants. There may have been a lot of family gatherings and the native has had to serve as some sort of mediator, establishing harmony within the family dynamic. If there's any malefic here, then there is a possibility of having to see divorces within the family, and may have been made the mediator as well.
Thanks to Scorpio in the 5th House, these people know how to have a good time. They have a very sensual power when they're in their element that just evokes strong emotions from others. They may also engage in taboo activities and find the power within that. They know how to find fun in the darkness and the pleasure in things that make other people look away. Because Scorpio rules extremes, it is also possible for the native to get addicted to whatever they're having fun with. It's imperative for the native to practice moderation so that they can enjoy it without overindulging in it.
Sagittarius in the 6th House adds a touch of adventure into their daily lives. The native has a keen eye for spotting opportunities that can expand their daily horizons. Since the 6th House rules over health, routines, and organizations, it's common to find the native amongst a group of people that comes from all walks of life. This is what gives them the "old soul" vibe. Their health may be top notch and because of the archetype of Sagittarius, there is a possibility in which the person could actually encounter a health issue, and bounce back through faith and sheer willpower. When it comes to routines, they will incorporate some sort of time in which they learn about humanity in some way shape or form. They may have a podcast running in the back about history, or even anything spiritual or archetypal. They have routines that have allow them to open up to possibilities that others are scared of. They may incorporate risk-taking on a daily basis on a smaller scale that eventually attracts them to bigger opportunities. They also incorporate any form of art as an outlet whether that would be music (making it or jamming out to it), painting, but it serves as a strong medium for self-expression.
Personal note: I have met someone who is a cancer survivor. They're a Cancer Ascendant, and I am forever enthralled by them.
Capricorn in the 7th House reflects the other side of them that may be more stoic, grounded, and/or more detached. They may attract partners that can ground them and provide them with the material stability that they may need to feel complete and whole within themselves. Since the 7th House also rules the other half of oneself, it is important to cultivate and integrate the more serious, stoic, grounded aspects of yourself. Being able to develop your own material world, it's okay to give to yourself too. Because the 7th House can also be a shadow house in a sense, it is also important to be weary of people who exhibit grandiose tendencies that may like to hold things over your head. People who may try to trick you into controlling dynamics. When it comes to business, these people may be able to stand their ground and can gain opportunities pretty quickly. You could be the type of person that can easily network with powerful people that can you can gain from. It's even a possibility that you could marry someone powerful as well.
Aquarius in the 8th House bestows the native with an unconventional approach when it comes to power dynamics, finances, and sex. These people may not engage in a typical relationship as they feel it's too limiting. Or they could take a very independent approach to the way how they handle other people's money. They could become bankers managing other people's finances. When it comes to relationships, they can prioritize individuality over being together, encouraging them to take on more independent relationships. They may be more attracted to being free-spirited or take on unconventional relationship dynamics.
Pisces in the 9th House makes the native a skeptic and what I like to call an omnist. Having such a mutable sign in the 9th House makes them very skeptical but also open to more than one spiritual/religious perspective. They may have their own unique belief system that allows them to live by multiple truths from various belief systems. In terms of education, the native may be inclined to pursue an education that requires the ability to incorporate more Piscean themes such as compassion, intuiton, empathy, etc. They could be the art majors, the communication majors, poetry/writing/English majors, and so much more.
Aries in the 10th House means that when it comes to their goals and their legacy, they are known to be a go-getter in that sense. They are not afraid to take risks that benefits them and can even be blessed more because of the risks they choose to take the opportunity instead of waiting for it to fall on their lap. They have a natural leadership energy to them, which makes them fit for managerial and leadership positions. They are often seen as a go-to person and can garner a lot of projection from others because their Cancerian energy can kind of "mute" this initiating Arian energy. I like to see this placements as the personification of the saying, "small but mighty." (Disclaimer: in no way am I saying that people with this placement is "small" nor am I trying to degrade them. The Cancerian influence on your ascendant can make you open and warm, until you feel the need to take initiative on something and the switch to the Martian leader energy can shake that initial perception).
Taurus in the 11th House can be indicative of taking a steady, practical path to your goals. Instead of trying to get everything quick (as opposed to your Aries MC), you may prefer taking a slower, wholesome approach. It is also a good placement to have to gain financial gains through networking, finding communities that can support you physically and financially. The 11th house in this case can also symbolize having friends who are truly loyal to you. You can also be a loyal friend, ready to help someone financially and willing to provide for them in some way shape or form. Overall, this is a good sign to have over the 11th House, but it is advised to be weary of being in relationships and friendships that stagnate you or people who hide their jealousy towards your privilege.
Gemini in the 12th House can be considered a "magician" placement. The subconscious here is looking for constant simulation, and is always open to learning and gaining knowledge. The native may have dreams that can be all over the place, yet somehow still maintains some sort of coherence. This is an excellent placement for pattern recognition, and having a strong mental intuition. I personally like to associate this placement with the concept of remote association, which is the ability to see a connection between two seemingly unrelated topics. Overall, this is a rich placement to have as they have the ability to see the details that others miss, and can connect dots that most people don't even realize are there or care to see.
